Symphony at Oaklawn

The management is handling the current crisis very well. I do want to give them gold stars and fireworks in the sky for their efforts during this crisis. They have been fantastic. My mom feels very safe there. With the activities, there is a good variety. My mom doesn't participate in all of them but it is nice that there is a variety because what she wants to participate in she does and she enjoys the social director of the activities. In regards to the housekeeping, my mom gets regular service and she knows when to expect them. It is nice to have that predictability in her life and having a routine. The maintenance staff is very friendly and helpful and I get the impression that they are very responsive.

Management was very helpful and made the transition easy. They are willing to help in any way that my mom might need. It seems like there are a lot of activities offered, her apartment is well kept and was move in ready and the building is beautiful. The caregivers seem to be doing a good job.

They offer quite a bit of activities. They have gone to her room and have repeatedly encouraged her to come out and get involved. I really like that. It seems like it is well maintained. I think they respond really pretty fast. They have come and hung some pictures for her. They have a lift, and they bring her to her doctor's appointments, and I meet her. It really works out great. They coordinate the appointments for her so they fall on the days they have transportation available. We have been really pleased with the care that she is getting. Overall, we have been very pleased. The food is excellent. She seems to enjoy it. Kim has just been marvelous in helping us get my loved one settles. If we have any problem or questions, she will pop in to help her. When we have needed something, they have been very responsive to us. I think the value is very good. This community is a relief to us and to her too. She hits a button if she needs something, and they are in her room pretty fast.

It is the best that I've seen. It is great, it really is. When you look over it she gets three meals a day, medical care, she is warm and comfortable, so the value is good. There's good food and they take care of her medication and everything else.

My mom was just taken with how nice and friendly everybody was, the cleanliness and she loves the food service. The community has a lot going for it. I think the value is really good The dining is just fantastic. I was really impressed with the housekeeping, and the healthcare staff is marvelous. They call us often about things that are going on so I am really pleased with the staff.

After my initial visit, I knew it was the one. Everyone has been wonderful. My mom says the food is very good, the activities they offer are fantastic and housekeeping has been great.

The whole inside and outside of the building is very lovely and welcoming. My mother's apartment is always well maintained, clean and smells good. The activities are over the top. Every activity that I've attended there or what they have there daily has been just a wonderful opportunity for not only the residents to socialize but for the families to socialize and meet some of the other residents and their families. You offer more than enough activities to keep the residents engaged with art classes, tai chi and everything is just great. It's well organized and I couldn't be more pleased with the activities.

The dining room is good and the food seems okay for my parents. There does seem to be a decent amount of activity provided for them. Mom has used the transportation provided several times and it has worked out well.

I think they're doing everything fine. One of the care givers stays in contact with families via text, sends pictures, she is there 100% of the time for families. The community is physically perfect and well-kept and housekeeping is good. As far as Memory Care is concerned, it's a good variety of activities in-house. The price is good and my parents are happy there. It's the best place around.
