Where the money comes from
Using this directory is free for families. When a family we have helped moves into a community that participates in our referral program, that community pays us a fee. Communities that do not pay a referral fee are listed exactly the same way, with the same reviews and the same public data, and you are never steered toward one over another because of a fee.
What money cannot buy
Reviews on this site come from real phone conversations with residents and family members and are published as given, including critical ones. Quality ratings for nursing homes come directly from the federal Care Compare program run by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services; we republish that data unmodified. Our Excellence Awards are earned through verified interviews measured against criteria we publish, and no community can buy one.
