Thunderbird Senior Living

I chose this community for myself because it's cost effectiveness, friendliness of the staff and the residents. Management's presence is well noted. They're always available to you. There are so many activities to do I can't keep up with it all. Maintenance has been most helpful and the building and ground are kept up very nicely. The cost is completely worth it. My first impressions were correct and I love it here.

We chose the community because of the warm feeling we got when we were taking a tour and met the people in the lobby. The residents were very, very nice and welcoming and it's close to my mom's house so she's comfortable and familiar with the area. She says management always stop and talk to her and everyone knows her name, so far it's very positive. Katie and Allison have been wonderful, the sales people and front desk people are very nice, it's been nothing but positive.

Overall we were very impressed with Thunderbird Senior Living, my mother liked it a lot and it really is like a resort. Management is very accommodating and do whatever they can to help you out. The dining room is nice, it makes it look like a restaurant, and the food is good. There seem to be an awful lot of activities on the calendar, there are lots of opportunities for my parents to be involved. The grounds are beautiful, just all of the amenties that are provided with trash three times a week, the buses that go to the different stores, taking you to the doctor if you need that, I like it, I'm very impressed with it.

Management responds fairly well if anything comes up that is needed and they're also good at communicating. My mom says the people in the dining room are super nice and they're always taking care of her whether she remembers to order food or not. They also seem to offer a lot of activities.

My friend lives in Thunderbird and I know it's a good value out there because of what they do. It's a warm complex and it feels homey, rather than fancy scale, and the landscaping is gorgeous. He feels safe and comfortable at the community. They do quite well with with activities and trying to keep them entertained over there.From the menus that I have seen, I think it's probably good. It's been an excellent experience.

In the time my mom was there I thought the food was very good. I thought what they made and what the menu was was top scale. I thought the memory care director was very nice and would go out of her way to help with things. Management was considerate with you and handled the issues to the best of their ability. Laundry washed the clothes once a week and changed the sheets. They cleaned the room at least once a week and emptied the trash at least once a day. They did a really good job. Things were always kept up nice and neat. I wasn't there much for the middle or night shift care but the day shift was quite attentive. There was a couple that was attentive to mom's need. They took care of what they needed to take care of and nursed her.

We moved in because her brother was scheduled to move in here a couple years ago and I looked at it then and liked it, I just liked the place. There's great food and great people and I'm satisfied with the activities; there's enough for me to do.

We chose this place for Dad because it seemed to have enough staff. The management has been good. He has been enjoying the food in the dining department. The maintenance has been helpful with moving some things our for him. Dad has used the transportation service and found it to work well for him. I think there is enough activities. I think when he gets all settled in he will be more inclined to do more than he is doing now. I am quite pleased and I'm sure my dad is as well.

It was a really nice facility and I had seen pretty bad facilities, Thunderbird was just perfect for them. The dining staff is considerate, kind, patient and they've been just fabulous, everything has been smooth sailing.

We just decided we liked Thunderbird the most, it smelled fresh and was clean in appearance, Holly who was bringing us around to the areas, was very friendly, it was a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The whole process was seamless and painless for us, management came to the house and did an evaluation. The nurses there are very informed, everybody knew what to do next, and they’re very friendly and helpful. They seem to be very knowledgeable, know medications and they're very attentive to all the patients there. We're very pleased with where he's at, we know he's being well taken care of, I can't say enough good about the staff there, and they’re just amazing.
