The Sheridan at Overland Park

Jared is the new director and he has done an outstanding job of communicating with families during the pandemic. He sends out a daily email with updates and pictures of the residents. Sometimes I tell dad I'm envious of him being there and I wish I could be there and eat. They have such variety and such nutritious food. They definitely encourage him and try to get them to do things and activities. Also, I feel like they are so on top of it as far as knowing dad's care routine and his attitude and what works with him and what doesn't.

The price of the community is absolutely fair. The care is pretty good and they typically call me if there is an issue. Transportation does pretty well. The maintenance staff seems to fix stuff fairly quickly. I never see any issues in the hallways and they vacuum his room periodically. The activities are good with exercise and hallway bingo. My dad like the food. It seems like they're doing a good job with the quarantine. He feels safe and comfortable. Overall, they have nice folks there and I am glad he was able to get into such a nice community.

Everything has gone well and I appreciate management's communication. The food and activities are very good and are well planned. Things are very clean, the building always looks to be in very good shape and my loved ones have gotten transportation for what they need. The caregivers have been very attentive to any concerns or problems. I think they have done a great job. I think this is an excellent place and I am very happy.

They have a good team in the healthcare department. My dad is getting his medication on time consistently and the med techs are coming in and doing that for him. The maintenance man came by and hung a few additional pictures, and that was timely and appreciated. I think the housekeeping has been going well. The service has been really good for that. There is a wide range of acitivities, and the personal involvement from the activities director in getting Dad down there to participate has been wonderful. We like the food, and more importantly, Dad likes it as well. The staff that serves the food has been quite helpful. The management team has been very responsie to our requests and questions. We can't say enough about the staff, and we have not problems with the value. We are very pleased with Dad's level of care there and performance of the staff. It's quite tremendous.

They have some excellent people working in this community. The doctor and nurse practioner are very good. The maintenance team does a fine job, and I think the staff is quite good with activities. Compared to other facilities at the same price point, I think this community is very good.

The facility is very nice. They try really hard to have programs that are interesting for the residents and a big variety of things in activities. A few of the staff are some of the kindest, caring peope and have carried our family over the last few months.

Management is all pretty good and responsive. I am happy with them. The activities are fantastic. She could barely walk when she took up residence here and was depressed. Now she has put on weight, is healthy and is active. She goes and does all kinds of things. Her apartment is gorgeous and lovely and housekeeping cleans it once a week. She has never complained about the help she receives when she needs or wants it. The building is also very good and looks like a Hyatt. Whenever something goes wrong, which is seldom the maintenance man responds and gets it done. Her improvement is night and day.

The management did a good job. The move in was good and all the explanation of the contract was good. The activities seemed entertaining and well planned and according to my mother the food was good. The housekeepers did a good job and the facility itself is beautiful. The care givers did a good job. The few times I watched my mom hit her pendant button it seemed like they were there pretty quickly. It was a great value for us and for the most part we had a good experience.

The care is terrific. They are immediately in there if they see something they're worried about or if we see something. I just have no complaints. I think the building is top notch. There's nothing that ever looks in disrepair. The housekeepers are terrific, and they put in laundry for her. It's been great. I hear the other residents talk about the activities, and they enjoy those. The food is pretty good. I think she is getting a good variety and I thinks she's getting good nutrition. The nursing supervisor is fantastic. There has been leadership and staffing changes, and we are thrilled about it. In terms of price, in that market, I think it's pretty good.

They have very good food and good service. The housekeepers keep everything clean and everything smells fine. They couldn't do it any better. Maintenance keeps things together very nicely. We are pretty happy to be in a nice place, and compared to other facilities, I think the Sheridan is right up there. It is a new place and it offers a really good value.
