The Sheridan at Lakewood Ranch

Every time I have approached management with an issue they have taken care of it and done what needs to be done. They seem to have a really good variety of meals in the dining department. The staff is accommodating and if they know when my loved one is coming down for a meal they will have what she likes ready for her. She really enjoys the Happy Hour and other activities. The transportation service is reasonable available, so I'd say it’s a fair price and a fair deal.

The servers and staff in the dining area are excellent. My mom always tells us and her friends that it is like dining in a fine restaurant. You go in and you are treated like a customer and you have real menus. She loves the staff and the food. I think what the activities staff offer and what I have seen on the calendars they are good.

I chose this community to move into because it was convenient. Management was just right on top of everything, they were very responsive to anything I asked them, they were just very knowledgeable.

We chose it because of the quality of the facility and the confidence of the staff. The management staff seems to be on top of things. The dining staff is doing a good job of accommodating my wife's allergies and the quality of the food is good. The service is good as well. The housekeeping staff is very good. They seem to have a good schedule and they adhere to it. In regards to the maintenance, we had two minor things that needed correcting and they were done quickly.

Mom has been there over a year and overall things seem to be okay. The staff serving the Memory care residents is the care staff and they know the residents fairly well and understand their idiosyncrasies about food. I like that there are a lot of activities. Some care givers are outstanding; the regular ones like Tina and Cornelius know my mom well and are great. I think mom does the Friday outings on the bus. She enjoys it and it's a good thing to have. Overall I'm happy with things. It’s an expensive place, but knowing she is safe and secure makes it a good value.

The atmosphere is nice, the activities are good and management tries to keep us busy. The care staff are very responsive. I think the activities are good and they try to satisfy everyone with the choices. It's up to you if you want to engage in the activities, they're available to you.

James, the medical director, immediately responds to my questions and texts. He really cares. My dad always enjoys the morning activities and housekeeping is done on time and well. The building looks pretty and is well kept. The caregivers are very attentive to my dad and he likes them. Jessica, Jenna and Alyssa are the nurses who are my dads favorite. They are truly caring.

Hope, Courtney and Victoria have been very helpful. I'm totally satisfied with everything and the people there. Everyone in the healthcare department participates and they've had several meetings with us explaining how things are going, recommendations and suggestions. Management always answers our questions and they're responsive. We're very happy with the care as well. Maintenance has always been helpful, the building is perfect, there is nothing wrong with it. The food has also been tasty.

I would say she is comfortable. It is a nice community and the grounds are kept up. I think the people in dining give a nice range of food on the menu. They just changed to eat when you want, I don't know how they do that. I think the meet and greets where they have wine and cheese is good and they have bingo options in activities. If there is a problem in her apartment the maintenance staff is there. I am satisfied with housekeeping. She is happy there and that is the most important thing. If mom is happy then I'm happy.

We chose The Sheridan at Lakewood Ranch because we just thought it'd be the best option for her and so far, things are going well. When you compare the value to other places and see what they have, I think this is a pretty fair amount for what we're getting and it's also a newer place, so everything is nice and new. Management is respectful, knowledgeable, accessible and responsive to our needs. The dining is very nice and very good, including the wait staff. There is a good variety of activities offered and I am satisfied with the consistency at which they're provided. She hasn't said anything bad about housekeeping services and the maintenance seems to be good, so I have no issues there. With regards to the care staff, they're all great, helpful and patient with her, so they're going above and beyond. While my mother doesn't use transportation, because she is quirky, when I see the residents come off the bus they look happy, so overall the entire experience has been good and we're happy with how things are going.
