Pointe at Kirby Gate

The management has kept in regular contact by email letting us know basically that there are no COVID cases that have been identified. They have given the family information since we can't be there. They have also worked really well with us and have done video chats and have been very responsive. Based on what I have had when I have eaten with my parents there and what has been served during this time the food has been very good. Shirley is the director of the kitchen and she is always so kind and loving. Really, all the staff is very loving. The new activities director is energetic and he communicates in a caring way and he respects and takes an interest in the people that are there. The maintenance staff are good people as well and the overall maintenance of the building is very good. The transportation has been very good as well. Due to the current staff that is what makes our experience an excellent one. We really appreciate them.

My mom is in a safe, clean environment where she is well cared for. I do like that as she declines the prices doesn't increase and it is small enough that she doesn't get lost in the shuffle. The menu seems to be nutritiously balanced. It looks like they are getting what they need with veggies, proteins and sweet things. They change her bed, do her laundry, run the vacuum, they clean her bathroom. I have had to call and make some requests or have discussions on the phone with them. They have answered my questions and always been prompt.

We have eaten there with them before and have gone to parties that they have and the food is really good. My sister and her husband really love the food. I think the service is excellent and there is a variety. The housekeeping is really good. My sister loves the housekeepers so when they come in she is happy. The care is really good as well. My sister and her husband seem to be happy.

I have eaten here several times and I enjoy the food and the dining service is good. The have activities going on all the time according to the calendar and I think the building and grounds look nice. Maintenance seems to keep things up and everything seems to be in order and the caregivers have always been respectful to me.

I think they work well together and look out for the residents. They are certainly easy for me to deal with since I am here so much. They do a great job of keeping the room up. If you need anything extra, they want you to call. The maintenance man does the best that he can. We are happy with him.The dining staff has been awesome on the timing and serving. THey remember everyone's favorites. It is very individualised. They are spot on. My dad loves the food. He would say the care staff is the best. They are really sweet. It takes really special people to do that job, and they are awesome.They love him. If he calls them, they come right away. If it something that requires a nurse, they will respond and let him know the nurse will be right in.

I think they fulfill all the promises they have in their brochures and contract. The care and food are the best things. I feel she is safe because they have a door you have to put a code in to get through.They have expanded the activities and included more art. The people they've hired are excellent. I don't hesitate to call them if I have a concern or want them to check on something. I feel confident they do everything that she requires, and they do it with a smile. They don't begrudge and they seem genuine. They care about her. I just think they do a good job.

Management does a very good job of taking care of her. They are very accessible. The variety of the menu and the food quality is good. They have all kinds of activities/ The housekeeping is very good. Maintenance comes and fixes anything that I have asked them to fix, and the building is great. The caregivers take care of my mother very well, and they are very friendly. She is very safe and comfortable. Everything is great, and we have been well pleased with it.

Management is doing excellent work here. They are keeping an eye on all the people in memory care and talking with them. They are doing a good job. They have karaoke for about an hour and a half, and the residents can sing. One of the caregivers will get a resident up to dance too. They also have a game where you have to name the animal that makes a specific sound. I like that because it gets them thinking. One of the girls asks the residents what color polish they want, and she will paint their nails. That shows that the residents are important. Her room is very nice and cozy and things are kept clean in the apartment. The maintenance people are great and are there when you need them. The caregivers treat the residents with respect and handle the residents well. They seem to be very organized here, and everything works out fine.

The food has always been good and the activities are great. The nurses and stuff have always been very nice and they're good to call if something does happen.

I haven't had any problems with anyone over there the last 5 years. The room is always clean, neat and dusted, along with weekly laundry. They always have activities going on, whether it's an art project, trivia or something to just sitmulate the residents as much as they can. Management is respectful, accessible and responsive to our needs. Overall, they staff the place accordingly, so it's a good value for the money and as a matter of fact, I have already recommended it to several people.
