Park Place Senior Living at WingHaven

My mom had lived there before with my dad and really liked it, she always wanted to go back, she enjoyed it there the first time. Debbie, the Director, and Becky, the sales person, both of them were just fantastic to work with, they're really good. My mom is really happy with those two. She wants to have people over for lunch and dinner all the time and she's very happy with the housekeeping services.

The activities keep my mom busy and I really like that. I have only had interaction with the maintenance guy on day one. He helped me get the remote control programmed for the TV. He was very knowledgeable. The drivers take them all out for lunch on Fridays and it is wonderful. The caregivers are awesome. The administrator in the pre-memory unit where my mom is at. McKenzie Bruner is just the best and is awesome.

I think the value Dad gets here is phenomenal. The price is good for the area. The place is clean and presentable. He feels very safe and comfortable there. Anytime we have had any issues the management has been willing to talk to us. We like the dining. Dad likes the food options that are there. Mrs. Leslie does a great job with the activities. She is always trying to get them involved. She goes around door to door and knocks and tried to get them to participate. I really appreciate the activities department. Every time I go his room is very orderly and his laundry is always done. I love the building and think it is very clean and well maintained.

I always hear good things about dinner and we like the waitress. They have a lot of activities going on for people that don't want to or can't leave the community. It is a huge building and it always looks clean and the light bulbs are changed. The gardens are always immaculate. Mom has used the transportation a couple times and she loved it. They were quick and handy at a moment’s notice. They have always been accommodating.

The residents enjoy the interactive activities that are offered. The staff bring down a hot cart of food. They typically have two choices for mom to chose from and they are nutritionally balanced meals. Maintenance is working on updating the building and I think the transportation has been fine.

My mom is happy with the activities that are in-building. Housekeeping and laundry are both fine. The laundry is right around the corner for her which is perfect, and the machines are always working. Generally she is happy with the food and overall, she's happy there and that's all that counts.

Management is very approachable, I feel like I can walk in anybody's office at any time and have any concerns or questions I have answered immediately. The walls were recently painted, everything is usually kept immaculate out there, it's a nice facility. The staff is excellent all the way around, it's been a nice experience, and they all work very hard to make sure she's comfortable and happy. If I have any questions or concerns I know who I can talk to and when I can talk to them, it's a nice place.

The building itself is nicer and the community is a little better than some of the other ones we looked at. It's a newer building and it does seem to be well maintained, everything is painted, you don't see stains. They seem to offer a wide variety of activities, mom participates in a few, she does seem to stay fairly active so I think they're doing a good job there.

I would say the management is pretty attentive. What they have is good but my dad doesn't participate in a lot of that, I see other folks doing the activities. They get right up there when there's an issue in regards to maintenance. All in all, my dad likes it enough.

Mom got to pick out her apartment, it's on the courtyard, and the repainted it and out in new carpet. Housekeeping is very good, and they wash her bedding every week. Mom seems to participate in the activities and looks forward to them. Mom is comfortable there, happy, and engaged there; that's what we're looking for.
