Morningside House of Ellicott City

I think the value is good in comparison to others. The menu variety and food quality seem good in dining. Overall, the maintenance has been very good. Most of the care staff are very good as well. Overall, I think that it is good.

I am happy with the value my father received at Morningside House of Ellicott City. The holiday celebrations are very nice, so it's been pleasant lately and my father feels comfortable at the community. He has a nice setup in his room and is proud to invite his family or friends over at the community. Management is accessible and responsive, and the food has been nice. In terms of services, the housekeeping comes consistently and I am satisfied with both, apartment maintenance and building maintenance at the community. With regards to my father's care, the healthcare staff is excellent. They try to be accommodating, they try to be very professional and they're very kind. We have been there a year and have already encouraged others because I think it's a general asset to our area, so overall I think it's a good place.

I think the value is good at this community. The lady who runs this community is excellent and very caring. If I mention something to her then it definitely gets done. The place is very clean and the cleaning staff is very friendly and accommodating. Smells are taken care of. They take care of the laundry for the most part. Maintenance is very friendly and the grounds are okay. Some of the caregivers are attentive and really good. There are two caregivers who are there every day and they are wonderful.

My loved one is safe and comfortable there. Seems like the food is tasty and they have a lot of different types. The care givers are very responsive.

It's a nice community. Since my mom has been there, she and her tablemate haven’t complained about any of the food, and I think it's okay. Janelle, the Director, is nice, as is most of the management staff. They're good at what they do, scheduling, and making sure all the staff are attending to what they need to do. Engineering does a good job coming in to do things when you ask them. I like the new interior upgrade of the community. I think mom feels safe there. In terms of what I pay and what other Assisted Living communities charge I'd say the value is fair.

My mother's apartment is beautiful. I like the care staff very much. The effort they put into taking good care of mom has been very good. I think the presentation of the food and the variety are good. I am really pleased with the activities, it's great for what's offered. Housekeeping comes in every week for cleaning, and the people seem nice. The laundry is the same, and as far as I can tell, maintenance is excellent. The maintenance man seems very, very nice. I haven’t seen any problems. The management has been very pleasant every time I've dealt with them. I think when a person lives in their own home for 64 years it takes a while to adjust, but she is safe and comfortable, and I do have a person in mind to recommend it to, and I've already recommended it.

For the money that we are paying Morningside is well worth it because my mom is getting healthy meals, she is getting her medications and someone is keeping an eye on her. My moms apartment has a separate bedroom, a seperate family room, separate dining room and a kitchenette. So far the management has been wonderful. The community was just remodeled last year. They had a grand reopening. Everything looks beautiful. There is a baby grand piano. Everything that she can relate to they had in place. She truly feels very much at home. She is very proud of the place. There is hallway restroom and it smells amazing. never The maintenance guys was amazing. I would absolutely recommend it. We are very satisfied.

My parents recently moved in because it was close and the apartment space is excellent, they have a 2 bedroom and it's quite big for Assisted Living. So far, we're satisfied with the services and accommodations provided, I haven't heard any complaints from my parents. Management is respectful, accessible and responsive so we have been very happy with them. The food quality is good, the Nursing staff is excellent and the Activity Director that was hired has been great. Overall, it's been a good experience for them so far.

My father lived at this community until recently. They just did a beautiful rennovation in the building and I think the management is probably good at what they do. They did give my dad good care while he stayed at this community. I would recommend this community to others.

The housekeeping has been fine. It has always been pretty well handled. The maintenance has been very responsive and there have been visual improvements and most of the problems have been addressed. The care has been wonderful in the memory unit. It is a smaller area and they are enclosed and the staff gives much more hands on and more direct attention. They clearly enjoy the residents. They keep them engaged and keep them clean. They are wonderfully, delightfully, pleasant people. They clearly care a great deal about their residents. We have been there a very long time and I do feel very comfortable approaching people there. I feel they are very approachable if I have an issue.
