Morningside House of Ellicott City

The management staff is always available and responsive. My father loves the chef there. He's gained 5 pounds, which is good. The entertainment is great. The place is always clean and his clothes are always done. They're responsive and routinely check on him and there is always a caretaker on the floor. He feels safe and comfortable, and that is very good.

It is everything you seem to expect in Assisted Living where you put your parents. Everything seems to be really well laid out and designed. Cindy's been awesome. They're just so helpful; they go out of their way to help you in any way possible. They're very responsive, very caring. Cindy and even the maintenance director were very helpful when we moved in. My dad says dining is great, he likes the food there. I've seen boards on the walls with all of the activities and I've seen the brochure and newsletter with a lot of things in it so it seems like they're very active with their programs. Swayne, one of the maintenance guys, was very helpful in hanging his TV. He was very, very not only responsive and supportive but available, too, you could always find him when you needed him to help. Great grounds, great facility. I'll be blunt, the place my parents were before was a brand new facility that was built to look like a Lodge but the caregivers, you could never find them, but you see them a lot at Morningside. We feel really good about the accessibility and finding them and them being there.

I worked with Shanelle and Sheryl and they went above and beyond from what I would expect from someone dealing with my situation. They answered my questions and gave me good advice. They were always accessible. They pulled long hours; they were answering questions at 8am and at 8pm. I think the food in the dining room is really good. Her blinds left about three or four inches of window exposed. I had mentioned it one night and within 24 hours the maintenance crew swapped them out. The grounds and the building are beautiful. I love that the courtyards are interior so you don't have to worry about someone wandering off. I am so thankful for the service that they all provide. Knowing my mother is there allows me to sleep at night.

My mom loves the food. She is always telling me how good the food is. The aides are great. I love them, they are fantastic. They are very nice to her and she loves them. We could not be more pleased and could not have more peace of mind. The care being given is very good. Her room is in great condition. I asked if we could bring our own fridge and they offered to replace hers. They did a great job, they really did. Everything is very nice. I've already recommended it, and even my friend's mother is there now and loves it too.

Health and care services are excellent. I think that the maintenance and housekeeping departments have been excellent. I've had dinner there, it was very good. The billing is excellent. We are very pleased with the value as of right now for what is provided.

I am as satisfied as I can be. I would say it is a decent value for the industry. The maintenance is really quite good overall. I think the staff there have been great. I would recommend Morningside, it has been satisfactory.

I think we are getting what is expected for the price. They have a very full activities schedule offered at the community. The maintenance is excellent and I think the care staff has been very good. I think they have been making a lot of improvements throughout the departments, which has been good to see.

Everything has been going smoothly since my mother moved in. As far as my brother and I are concerned, we're very happy with the situation. The management staff has been great with communicating with us, which is much appreciated. I think she gets as good of nourishment as she can get. Being the person that she is she complains, but she complains about a lot of things. I've been there with her, so has my brother, and we find it very, very good. The building itself is superior. Location is great, the details are great, and going in it looks well maintained. Everybody's talkative and the staff seems to like each other. They have to put up with a lot with my mom. As long as I don’t hear any complaints from them I'm fine.

The management staff has been responsive to concerns that we've had, and they seem to be noticing changes in my mom without us telling them at times. I like the administrator right now so I hope she stays. As far as I know she likes the meals. She is certainly not losing weight. She has been participating more so that's good. We only had one issue with housekeeping and that was taken care of. Overall, everything is good.

It was close to me in proximity and when we went there we just absolutely loved everything about it, when Cheryl gave us the tour. The room that was available was perfect. We're so grateful because the staff members are so energetic and kind hearted. I wouldn't change a thing. The management staff was very responsive; we had a lot of questions before she even moved in. Even the ladies behind the front desk are so wonderful and if they have information they will let you know or tell you who to contact. I think the wait staff in the dining hall is always respectful and kind. They already know what my mom likes in the morning, they're really wonderful. To me it's just so important that they encourage her to be a part of that community in terms of entertainment.
