Morningside House of Ellicott City

It's always neat, clean and looks nice. They do have nice activities and good food. I've always liked the person that they have at the front desk. They are very kind, pleasant and helpful. I think there is enough variety of food, the staff is pleasant and accommodating. I think they have a nice variety of activities. My mother likes to play Bingo and do the crafty things. The nurses are very patient and kind to my mother. It's pretty and convenient.

My dad loves it and he says that it is the best food he has ever had. The wait staff are very accommodating for him. If he doeesn't like the meal they give him a substitute. My dad is very happy with that. He really enjoys bingo. The activities are offered often and from what I see there they are very well attended. The facility and the grounds look great. The care staff are doing what they supposed to be doing... they are bringing him to his meals, they are checking on him at night.

For what you get here and the quality of the room, it's a pretty good value for the money. The other places I looked at were much more expensive. The care staff is respectful and good with my uncle, and they're extra cautious. There haven't been any problems when he takes advantage of transportation services, and he has never said anything negative about the vehicle. The building is always very clean, and I never see the apartment dirty. Overall, he feels safe and comfortable at the community.

I have had really good experiences with the management team. They are friendly, easy to communicate with, and available whenever I go in. I had some financial struggles with my dad's income, but they worked with me. They are very understanding. The dining service is very good, and my dad enjoys the chef and the meals very much. They know he likes turkey bacon, and the other morning, they had the kind that he likes. I like the activities and everything they do for the residents. This community is usually pretty clean, and his apartment is excellent. The caregivers are pretty good and quick to communicate. I think the price is very fair.

We chose this community for my mother because of so many reasons, but the main one was that the whole program for memory care really impressed us. Everyone is super caring, the healthcare staff is there for he,r and they're amazing in terms of getting her adjusted to a new community. The maintenance staff is extremely responsive and both the building and apartment look great. She has been willing and is excited about the activities. Management communicates very well, they're there whenever you need them, and they're very responsive to your needs. Overall, she feels safe and comfortable, and we're really happy that she feels secure there.

It's been a very good experience. I think it's met my mom's needs, and it's helped me know that she's in a safe place. It's greatly appreciated. Edith was very supportive from the nursing end. For us, as a family, this was the best place for her to be. THe med techs are always out in teh hallways. They're always accessible. I think they are respectful and they are knowledgeable. The maintenance is nice, and they go above and beyond. The building was remodeled within the last couple of years, and it's gorgeous, It's clean, and it looks traditional in it's appearance. My mom has had no issues with housekeeping. They have kept everything clean. They've had very good speakers. She's really ejoyed that part of the activities. There have been some more cognitvely enriching speakers and activities, so that's been good for her. My mom has no complaints with the management. Every time she's had an issue, it's been addressed quickly. I'm just happy she can be in a place where her needs are met and that they can look out for her. They've not only found way to meet her need, but they have found ways to make her feel like she's a part of a community.

Management is fine, the dining service is fine and the food seems fine to me. There are plenty of activities here and the building is nice. We are pleased with this community and it is a good value.

They have a lot of activities. They are varied so guests have a lot to choose from. They are well planned and well thought out. They bring in singers, musicians and all kinds of things. The people they bring in are top notch entertainment. The manager is very good at communicating with me and making sure I know what is going on. I like how they have variety in the menu. They change it periodically. The service is excellent. It is like a restaurant in there. They will get you what you want. I also like they have people with disabilities working in there. That is a big plus for me. The building is very clean and I like the security as well. I went to swing by there the other day and I forgot my key and my pass. I saw a nurse outside and I identified myself as who I was, she would not let me in and I appreciated that.

Every member of the staff has been fantastic. They are very helpful and upbeat. Going into an assisted living facility is a traumatic thing for seniors and they have gone out of their way to make the process as pleasant as possible. I was very nervous and concerned and it has gone better than my wildest expectations. The care staff have been very good. They have been very polite and understanding, and, in some cases, humorous.
