MerryWood on Park

I feel my wife and I are getting our money's worth at MerryWood on Park. While I didn't expect home cooking, for institutional cooking it's pretty good and there are more than enough activities offered. The housekeeping is very good. Occasionally when they clean our room and if they have extra time, they'll change your bed sheets too. When I request something from maintenance, I get a response within the hour. The renovations are partially complete and the dining room needs some more touches, but we're back in the dining room which is a real plus. I think the rest of the community is handled with minimum interference of the activities, so the renovations are going very well. I think all of the modification they're making to the building has gone better than expected because the inside and outside has vastly improved under the new management, so overall it's been pretty good.

I thought the price was well worth it and my mom enjoyed it there. She loved this community. I thought the food was wonderful. During the last couple of months, they had construction going on and the servers handled that stress wonderfully. I thought this community worked really hard on the activities. They had a lot of things scheduled. Maintenance was very patient. Mom couldn't set the temperature correctly and the shower was difficult for her to set the proper temperature. They would come and help her with those things. They were very wonderful. All the girls who worked the front desk were friendly and nice. I don't have a bad thing to say about any of them at all. Mom had a wonderful time there.

The food is pretty good and the staff is fantastic, the aides are great. The activities are top quality and the transportation services are excellent. I have no problems with the service here, they're all fantastic.

I've been here almost four years and I haven't dealt with the management that much but I've been perfectly happy with what they've done. The food and housekeeping are very good; the staff does a good job. The servers are very good; they get you what you want and if you're not happy with what you have, they'll do something about it. I am perfectly satisfied.

I have a real good rapport with all of management; they're always very friendly, open and ready to talk to you. I have a very nice apartment which I like very much, I'm comfortable in it. The dining service is wonderful; you just can't say enough good things about the waiters. There are so many activities you can have a hard time choosing and I'm the Activities Chairman for the residents and work very closely with Sophia. If you have a suggestion, they check on it, I don't think there's not a suggestion that they don't at least research. The transportation services are very, very good, I couldn't praise it more.

I feel like there is value here. The food is good and the transportation services are wonderful. I think the servers are wonderful and the drivers are very nice about the transportation.

I feel very comfortable here; I've been here for seven years. Our Activities Director is absolutely great and they do a good job with the transportation. Maintenance is really quick with emergencies, even if it's just a light bulb and housekeeping does a good job. I think they seem to be doing really well with the remodeling.

Management is nice, friendly, helpful and approachable. There are lots of activities, I go to church on Sundays, and they have a very good setup here. Maintenance is wonderful too, they're very good and if you need something done they're there to help you and take care of things, they're very good. I think it will be nice when the renovation is done.

I think I am getting a good value. You feel welcome the moment you walk in and I have lived her over nine years. The housekeeping team here is a good bunch of people. They will do anything you ask. The dining is great; I eat three meals a day here. The wait staff is fantastic. There are all kinds of activities to participate in. There are outings all the time and they have a lot of entertainment in the evenings. They have technical classes for you to learn about your computer. They have art classes where you can make your own jewelry, always something going on. The maintenance staff is always there within the 24 hours. We have beautiful plantings and they change as the seasons change. The drivers we have in transportation are marvelous. They even have a brand new bus to take us around in.

I feel the value here is comparable to others in the area. The food is good here and they are just finishing up on a remodel of the community including the dining room. I am pleased with the activities and the service I receive from maintenance and transportation.
