Mangrove Bay

The people or the residents at Mangrove Bay couldn't have been more nicer when my mother moved in and she has friends who have little dinner parties in their apartments, so it's very nice and I credit management because they went out of their way in trying to introduce her to people. We moved there in June of last year and she was on the wait list for the Inter Coastal view apartment, which she moved into two weeks ago, but maintenance was able to move everything over and got everything re-hung right away, a week before Christmas, which I found to be phenomenal. With everything going on, I was very impressed and give both the management and maintenance a lot of credit for being so smooth. In general, when I am down there, everything always looks nice, clean and well managed, so you don't ever see anything that looks like it even needs attention. Speaking of management, I have found them to be very accommodating and very professional across the board, even the financial office made sure things got coordinated with whoever. There is plenty of activities for her to enjoy or get involved in, so I think the activities are all good. They also have dinners off the property at a local restaurant and movies, so there is certainly a variety that is being offered. Overall, I think it's been a satisfactory experience so far because she has enjoyed being there.

I love the management staff, they're so caring and happy, and they look like they're enjoying their work. The activities are excellent, you can be active all the time, whatever you want to do is available, exercise classes, and Beverly is the best. Maintenance is very good, it looks beautiful, and I have a lovely room overlooking the river. The drivers are so wonderful and helpful, I have never seen such a helpful group, they help us with carrying packages and are always very happy to do it, I am absolutely delighted with the service from the drivers.

I am very pleased with how they handle my father. In terms of every aspect of Mangrove Bay I am very pleased. I've not had any issues. The care givers are very conscientious and if anything is wrong, they give me a call. My dad has never complained about the food and the times I've been there the meals look fine. They do a great job with him. I am very pleased with the activities they do. They keep the place spotless; his room is cleaner than my house. I am very pleased with the physical community, maintenance has been exceedingly helpful. Overall service is excellent, his care is excellent.

After a year there, my mom is moving because my dad is in a skilled nursing community 25 minutes away from her, so we're moving them both to the same community to be together. The food and variety of menu items is very good, and housekeeping is great. We’re satisfied with maintenance and transportation has been great. We’ve been very happy with the entire experience there.

I have seen how other places operate and there is no comparison. I feel we are getting what we are paying for. I wish I was going to be able to retire to somewhere this nice. It is like going to the Marriott or something. Mom likes the food a lot and I have been real impressed with the manners of all the ones that work there. That is a difficult group of people with many challenges and I think they always meet the challenge with a smile on their faces. Mom's room is really clean as are her clothes and she is well dressed. Anytime Mom has had any little injury, scrape or bump they call and tell me about it. They tell me what they are doing to treat the wound. They keep me up to speed with all that. They do a better job with her than I could at home that is for sure. I am really impressed with Alma and the activities. Last time I went they were playing solitaire, which was helping them with memory skills and perception of numbers. I think they try real hard.

My wife and I love our apartment. I think the food here is fine, and we enjoy the activities. We go to bingo and some of the other activities. Maintenance is very good, they come pretty quickly. We feel safe and comfortable here at Mangrove Bay.

The person that I deal with in management is the business person, and when I have asked her a questions she has been super responsive. In terms of activities, my mom seems to be fine with the activites offered. She plays bingo, bridge, does the excercises and goes out to lunch. I think these are very good. She has a young lady that comes in every other week to clean her apartment and I don't hear any complaints. The building itself is beautiful. They keep the grounds up and it is clean. She enjoys being able to take bus to church. I think it is worth every penny.

Everything is working out okay here. The management does a good job. They do very well with the activities. They have bingo and card games. I do a lot of gym activities. If a person wants to do them there is a lot to do. There is a girl that comes in every other week and she does a good job keeping my apartment clean. The maintenance department is pretty good. You put in a work order and it's done in a couple days depending on what it is. The building has just been completely overhauled. It got a new roof and they repainted the whole building. It is in good shape.

Management are very positive and any issues we've had have been dealt with in a satisfactory way. I think the value is excellent, I think my parents are getting what they pay for. We're very happy with the dining service and they're interested in the art and exercise classes. I'm impressed with how happy everyone that works there seem, the people really seem to enjoy their job which makes a big difference.

I have never had any problem with the management. When I need something they will help me. I am enjoying the food. A lot of things are very good. I am very happy with the activities and I volunteer a lot. I go to the assisted living to visit the residents and I go to memory care with my dog. In regards to housekeeping, I think they are doing a fantastic job. My housekeeper is here every morning at 6:30am when I go out with my dog and the place is sparkling clean. Whenever I need the maintenance they are here. We just had a new roof put on and the building was painted so it looks spick and span. I use the transportation to go to the eye doctor and they are on the ball. My family comes to visit and they love it too!
