Mangrove Bay

As my son says, "Mom, it isn't the apartment you are paying for here it is all the services." He is right and I am very satisfied with my apartment. I have a beautiful apartment and I'm not moving at my age. I feel very safe and very comfortable and that is a lot in itself. I feel like I know the management very well after living here for almost six years. I think they do a very good job. They always answer your questions and you can always reach them. The staff works well together and do a very good job. There are more activities than you could possibly do and they are very well planned. You could be busy from 9am-9pm if you want to sign up for that much. Housekeeping comes in for one hour each week and I am very satisfied. They do everything they can possible do in one hour. I don't have to tell them much they automatically know what I want to have done. When you come into a place like this and we have a mentor committee, we try to talk to the new residents that are moving in. It is like moving into a fairy land for them. It takes a good year to year and a half before they get used to this type of living. Now we live in a village.

The price is fair and my dad seems to be happy. The service in the dining room is good and so is the food. Housekeeping is excellent. It is always impeccable and the building is always clean.

I've never found anything to complain about here. I guess they do quite well. The food is okay. I wouldn’t say it's great, but it's okay. I think it's quite difficult for anybody to cook for a large number of people like they have to down in the dining room. I guess they're fine, there are enough activities. You can always find something to do. I think the housekeepers do a pretty good job. The apartment is small and there's not much to do. It's okay, it's pretty good. I have recommended it and I have always given the place much praise. I think they're great. I have no complaints. I think they are all wonderful people, very nice.

It is a lovely and beautiful place. We seem to like what the management team is doing. They seem receptive to any of our needs when we address them with them. We have seen a full and happy dining room. The people are enjoying the food. There are a lot of good worthwhile things to be involved with in activities. The housekeeping staff is nice and friendly. In terms of transportation, Mom enjoys the group transportation to the supermarket. The driver is very nice to her.

As a resident myself, I am aware of most of the things going on at Mangrove Bay, but for a community of this nature, I think it's being well run. Management is respectful, knowledgeable, accessible and responsive, so they're outstanding. I'd say the food is fine for people our age and designed for people our age, with efforts always being made to improve it, but I'd also say the menu variety is about as good as one can expect in a community like this. There are a number of activities offered at the community and from my standpoint; they're acceptable and well planned. I am satisfied with my apartment cleaning, as it's consistently done and while it's a 17 year old building, great efforts have been made to keep things updated lately because we got a new roof and there is new painting from the outside of the community. I still own a car and while I prefer to use my car, I still think the transportation does a good job when I use it, so overall it's been a great experience for me at the community.

Mom has zero complaints, the activities are great and housekeeping is fine. The management staff is attentive, great, and works hard. The building maintenance is very nice, I think it’s all great. We're happy with Mangrove Bay.

They have a good management at this community. I don't take part in the activities but they have a lot of things. The housekeeping is good. Every other week they come in and clean the room and change my linens. When a light bulb goes out, I call maintenance and they take care of it right away. The building is excellent. This community has a Lincoln and Cadillac limousine. You can't ask for much more than that.

Management is the best, I've lived here for seven years, the staff here has been here for the entire time that the place has been open and they have been absolutely part of the family. The activities and transportation services are excellent, our Activities Director is a very dedicated person, she does her very best to make sure we all have an enjoyable time. We just had a big party for New Year’s Eve and it was wonderful. The staff keeps the community clean, I'm proud to bring my friends here.

The girls at the front desk and management are wonderful, they are so helpful, I really appreciate that. I have a beautiful view of the inter-coastal and when I stand at the kitchen sink I can see the ocean, it's wonderful to be able to look at the view of the boats going by; it’s lovely. The dining is wonderful, they do such a great job, the waiters are so good and efficient and the food is delicious, it's very good. The activities are wonderful, there's a pool and classes, I love it, it's really wonderful living here. Maintenance does a great job, they had beautiful decorations at Christmas time, they make you feel so upbeat, and it’s a really upbeat feeling when you walk in here. I use the transportation services to go play bridge and to the store, they're very efficient, they help you with your packages, they do such a good job I'm really very happy here.

In the year and a half I have lived here I think the activities are good, particularly the woman in charge of the gymnasium, it's exceptional. Beverly is very good. I use the bus sometimes to go shopping and the woman in charge will try to accommodate you at any point.
