Mangrove Bay

I think he is pretty satisfied with the price compared to the value. I find it extremely high but he doesn't. I think he feels like he gets his money's worth. He feels safe. There is always someone at the desk and I am sure if I stopped I would get help. I have not had any issues. My friend says the food is excellent. In regards to housekeeping, it looks pretty good when I am there. I think the housekeepers come every couple of weeks.

When I went to look at Mangrove Bay I liked what I saw. I like the way they, at the desk, answer questions. I thought it was a good place I'd like to be in, and sure enough, I am. I love my apartment. Housekeeping is good and when I put my clothes in my hamper, before I know it it’s gone and my clothes are back on my bed and folded. I can’t get over it! They do better than the once a week. I've had some things and maintenance responded promptly. I would say the dining is good. I don’t go down to the dining room much, I have most of my food sent to me room and the food is all good. There's a limo there and you don’t have any trouble getting where you need to go. Activities are good too. They have a variety of things, and that's important. The managers make you feel like it's your home, which, it really is your home. That's why it makes me feel that it’s an excellent place.

My wife and I chose this community because of the location. Management responds very quickly to every question we've had and they always have a smile on their face. The dining is very nice, my wife and I are enjoying it very much. It does look like they have some good activities. The building is very nice and Erlanda is our housekeeper and she's very nice and very capable. All in all, the value is very acceptable.

We’re extremely satisfied with the value mom is getting; she is definitely safe and comfortable there. The managers are all very helpful and very nice. They seem to get along well with all the people there. Mom seems to like the food and they have a lot of activities. They keep the residents busy, and they come to their rooms to get them. The care givers have been giving her her medication. The doctor there comes in every two weeks to check on the residents. Housekeeping keeps her apartment clean and whenever she needs her clothes cleaned they clean them for her. They are getting ready to renovate the interiors, they just redid the outside. It’s going good.

I chose this community because hospice is involved with Mangrove Bay and our doctor was the one that recommended it. It's also only 2 miles from my sister's house. The food is great and how they presented it is nice. The healthcare staff are very responsive and very caring. Elma encourages the residents to join in with the activities and calls everyone by name. Elma tries to get the folks involved and gets them a little sunshine. The activities are varied and the people that are awake seem to enjoy themselves. They were able to convince us that mom is in good hands and we are convinced. We're really happy that mom is there.

Mangrove Bay looked like the best one. The management has been very helpful and they helped us move in. They have been kind. I have seen a calendar and there are plenty of things to do. The maintenance staff that came and fixed what needed to be fixed did an excellent job. They have been very helpful.

I had a friend whose mother was there and they liked it, so we moved my dad in. Everybody is very helpful, knowledgeable, kind and professional. The housekeeping is great. My Dad thinks the food here is pretty good. They have a wonderful assortment of all types of activities.

I think everything is great here. The people, the activities, the food, the happy hour,everything. I like the food, the servers, and everyone I sit with. The activities are great. The game room is great. I like the Glee club and swimming. The bus takes me to the dentist, to Publix, to wherever I have to go and the drivers are good. Regarding maintenance, I think the place looks good. They keep the grass cut and sidewalks clean.

I think the value is good. The activities are good. My aunt is 100 but is in great mental and physical shape. At first she was resistant to the activities, but they were very good about encouraging her to get engaged. I think the nursing side has been pretty good. She hasn't complained about the housekeeping. When I have been there to visit it has been clean.

I certainly have a nice standard of living here. I have been here for almost four years and they would have to ask me to leave. That is how much I enjoy this place. I do think dollar for dollar you get more than you pay for here. The management staff is excellent. They know everybody here. They take a personal interest in everyone. You can't pass one of the managers any place when they do not call you by name. They know your pets and they know everything about you in a pleasant way. The food is very good. They put out a menu with the dinners on it so you know if you want to go eat that night or cook in your apartment. A lot of the activities are low impact which is good. They take trips out to theaters, restaurants, and scenic rides. I think the transportation service is excellent. If you have a doctor’s appointment you let them know soon so they can put you on the schedule. They always get you there 15-30 minutes before your appointment time. I think they are doing a fantastic job.
