Lake Barrington Woods

My loved one and I have had a very nice experience in the community, the food was excellent and the dining was phenomenal. He's lived there over three years, and housekeeping, maintenance, and care services have been consistently good. I've had the pleasure of working with Becky Goulet as well as Pam in a variety of different marketing components and I feel they do a remarkable job representing the community.

I think the management staff are very responsive and they do a good job. My mother loves the dining ans the service is very good. My mom is very happy with the activities. They are always updating the community. She uses the bus for the outings. She is very happy with it. They help her on and off and help her with her packages if she needs help. The care is excellent. The nurses figured out that my mother needed a pacemaker and alerted me to it.For all the care she is receiving I think the value is good.

He has been needing some additional changes in his care and they handled themselves beautiful to make sure he was well cared for. They gave me enough options so I did not feel like I was in a corner. There are certainly enough choices for him to go to if he choose to. Coco, the health manager there, has done a remarkable job in helping us in knowing what would be appropriate for him. She has done what she can to help us keep him in the community and for that I will be forever grateful.

I think the value is good for the services my aunt receives. My aunt is enjoying the social aspect of the activities. She uses the transportation services go to the grocery store and that is fine. It is an older building so there is more upkeep to it but they do the best they can with the building they have. We haven't had any worries.

The management has been really great. I know there are a lot of activities offered and my Mom has been participating. Maintenance is always perfect and does everything in a timely manner. Housekeeping does a great job.

My father lives at Lake Barrington Woods and I think that management is really good for the most part there. I would see the schedule of activities, so I know what was offered and I thought the activities were lovely. I like that if there were any maintenance issues they would be attended to. If I asked them to clean the carpets in his unit they would be responsive to me. I do believe that we have had our concerns, but for majority of his stay we have been satisfied.

The building is looking real nice with the remodeling.

It was chosen because my mother liked the apartment. Overall, from the other places we looked at and for the price point, I think the Woods has been the best as far as the community feel and helpfulness. I am truly amazed at how kind everybody has been. It's a great community and we have gone to other places, but for the price and what you get compared to other places, it's pretty nice. The woman I dealt with was Peggy and she was just phenominal, she's excellent. She knew everything to do and that's what you need in this business. Older people can be very difficult and the wait staff so far that we've encountered were excellent. The food was outstanding and she likes that she has choices which was high on her list, so she likes that and they're very accommodating. The outdoors is beautiful and the landscaping is gorgeous. She enjoys the patio and overall I think it's very good. The staff there just go the extra mile.

My mother loved the apartment and the courtyard, and she loved the proximity to me. The place is just wonderful and the services are excellent. Everyone has been very pleasant and accommodating. Pam was phenomenal. The activities seem to be good. If you ask the maintenance man for something, they come right away and take care of it. All in all, it's great.

The management staff is wonderful. Maintenance is really good. They're right on the ball. He loves when they bring in children singing or adults playing the piano or violin. He loves singing and music and he attends all that. The housekeeping is really pretty good. If he complains they come in to clean if there is any problem. It really is wonderful for us and for my brother.
