Hickory Park

My dad has lived in the community for over a year. He really likes the breakfasts there. I like that they offer alternatives if you don't see anything you want on the regular menu. The activites department provides a lot of things to do if someone wants to participate. The housekeepers do his cleaning and laundry once a week and the building always seems clean. It is a nice and inviting atmosphere to live in.

My father in law has lived here for almost two years and I am satisfied with the availability of the management staff to me. Whenever I have a question or concern they always answer or make time for me. He really enjoys going to the store on outings with the activities department. The housekeeping/laundry department seems like they are always there to handle any need he has. The care staff is very good as well and answer any questions I may have.

The management team to me is Noelle. They have always been helpful and responsive and receptive to questions. I know they have a lot of vareity of activities. I know my mother-in-law loves the live Friday afternoon music. I have no complaints with the laundry and housekeeping. They are doing a good job keeping up with it and her clothes find their way back to her room and they look fine. The building appears to be well maintained. They did some nice landscaping recently. I think it is fairly priced overall.

What really made it stand out as the place for my mom, I had done a lot of research and when I came across this community it was a little more of a friendlier atmosphere. We're very happy with the services and everything in the month she has been living there. Even though it is a little on the higher side, the value is good. I feel the Management is very helpful and very accommodating when I need help, and the care has been exceptionally well. I know mom is receiving hospice care and they've been allowed to come in and help her when needed. The Hickory Park care staff there has been very friendly with her. I know when we go there to visit her during the cocktail hour she enjoys going to that. We're very happy with Maintenance. We've been overall happy with the community.

I moved into this community because I needed to have quality care and people who would look after me. The price is high but it is worth it becuase I have a peace of mind and am safe. Management has been very good. When they see you they will stop and speak to you. They are nice and kind to everybody. There are plenty of activities and this community keeps you busy all the time. Housekeeping is very good. I like it here very much.

The management staff at Hickory Park are very involved in what is going on. They always know the status of what is going on with my mom. They will meet me in the hallways and tell me things without me having to ask them. There is more than enough activities offered. She likes the puzzles and arts and crafts they do. The activities are excellent. They have some awesome outings. Her room is always clean. They use her room a lot to show the rooms to potential residents because she keeps it so clean. She knows the maintenance guy and he will do things for her if she asks him. She is not afraid to ask and they do it right away. She is very happy with the availability, the pricing and the bus driver. The girls that take care of her are wonderful. They are all very nice. They check in on her every night. Everybody is very polite and sociable. She does not complain about anybody.

I Have now lived at Hickory Park for a year and I think it has been satisfactory. I haven't had any concerns with the management or housekeeping. The building is maintained well. I haven't had any noteable complaints.

Overall, when I've spoken with the caregivers about anything they've been very responsive and keep me in the loop regarding my aunt. Transportation services are excellent and the vehicle is fairly new. As for maintenance, I know she's had some issues with her toilet and her sink, and they've been responsive. Management watches over her needs very well. She needs a lot of care and they've been very good at providing it. Generally, it's been good.

I don't go for the activities. But, I guess they do pretty well from what I hear. The housekeeper is cleaning my room right now. I would rate her as an eleven. She is Johnny on the spot and does a wonderful job. I don't have any problems with management. The building maintenance is satisfactory. I am pleased here.

The value seems great for the services and accommodations offered. Everyone we've talked to are very happy being there. The housekeepers come in once a week and collect garbage and recycling twice a day which is great. The place is very clean. They offer my brother-in-law a variety for the menu. The few occasions that we have gone there it has been awesome. I'm very surprised that they have such good tasting food. Typically when you hear of these places you expect the food to be bad. They have taken excellent care of him.
