Hickory Park

I enjoy it here. I've got a nice, two bedroom apartment. I give the housekeeping and laundry an A+. The maintenance staff will come if I want something done. They are johnny on the spot. I think it is a great place.

The management seems very responsive and attentive. I think they offer a wide variety of activities. They are very efficient with the housekeeping and laundry. Overall, the care givers are very caring and efficient.

I live in Hickory Park and I like the activities they have, so anyone that is walking around and bored is just not looking enough for things to do. Once a week the community also plans outings, like shopping or a restaurant, so I go on as many of those as I am able to. They're a terrific bunch of people.

here. The housekeepers always seem to be there and do what they need to do. There is some very good help there. All in all, I think they are taking good care of my mother.

I haven't had any problems. Whenever I need something the management staff is there to help me out and do just fine. He likes the activities where they take him to the store. He loves to go for walks. That's just something he does. I love the fact that there is the little store, that's a nice idea.

I think they do a really good job at a lot of things, but there is always room for improvement. There are a lot of things for them to do if they would only sign up. There are a lot of activities outside like trips. There are a lot of activities inside like games, I know they love bingo and I actually volunteer for bingo and LCR. There are craft things as well. They have made up magnetic room number cards so that when you are using the washer you put the magnet on the washer; that was added in the last six months and it was a great idea. In terms of housekeeping, cleaning does a good job and is there every week.

The grounds are very well kept. If I need something I can talk to someone. The staff is aware of what is going on. All in all, her space is very satisfying. She was gone for awhile and now she is happy to be back

This community was selected for my aunt because it was like two blocks away from where she was so she would still be close to her friends. Management is very cooperative and informative, they let me know of any changes being made, they worked with me. My aunt enjoys the food, she says it's really good food. Maintenance is very cooperative and I think the healtchare staff has taken really good care of her. It's a little pricey but there is good service and beautiful accommodations.

In regards to management, Noelle is doing a great job. Judy does a wonderful job with the activities. She takes them on a trip every Thursday to different places. There is always something to do. It is a beautiful facility. They don't have long, dark, skinny hallways. Their hallways are wide and bright and short. It is a friendly type of atmosphere. There is the van which is wonderful. He will go on trips with Judy or whoever is driving them to the dollar store or out to eat. The workers that he comes in contact with are wonderful, like Carolyn and the people at the front desk. The aides have been very good to him. They always say hi to him. Noelle is wonderful. She is like a social worker too. Judy is great. He is independent and doesn't need a lot of care. He is very happy there.

Management is very compassionate and very quick to respond when I have a question. The administrator Noel is really a wonderful person and she's perfect for that position, my family couldn't be happier with her. My dad is happy with the transportation service, he went to Wal-Mart and they went to a dinner. Maintenance keeps the building very clean. We use the housekeeping and it's wonderful, the apartment is very clean. My dad especially likes the activities, they are very interactive. They have a lot of menu variety in the dining room and the service is good, my dad is very happy.
