The Haven at Springwood

Tiffany and Tonya are very personable and helpful. They're very, very efficient and quick. One housekeeper has really taken my aunt under her wing and has gone above and beyond. I think the variety is really nice, there is lots of music and they started bringing in animals, a pig and maybe a goat, unusual animals sometimes and the residents love them. The front desk is very professional and personable and just aware of everything that's going on. She likes it very much and I've eaten there a few times and enjoy it too. They're very accommodating. All in all it has been a great fit for us.

I think it's good here at the community. I've been in to several things when they had groups come in, and I thought that was always very good. I know my mom doesn't always go down to everything that they have, but I know they have a nice variety of stuff. The activities girls seem to do a good job with what they have. The outside of the community looks good, they keep up with it and the girls that do her meds are usually pretty good about that.

My husband had to go to a nursing home in January for some therapy and we were very happy when he got back to this facility. It is a great value. He has remarked a number of times that the food is good. He enjoys the music. I see maintenance people working in the general area and they do a good job. They have been very helpful. They have great people working in the care unit.

We chose it because she couldn’t live at home, she was diagnosed with Dementia. It's a good value. When you compare it to other facilities we toured you get a lot more, there's a lot more she can do and the space is bigger. I am very satisfied with management. They have been very helpful with her transition and getting her all set up. Healthcare services are doing very well. They make sure she gets her medication and all that. I'm assuming housekeeping and laundry are okay because we haven’t had any issues. So I would say it's good.

Overall, the facility is well taken care of. The management staff seems to be responsive to any questions you raise. When I go to see my mom on a Saturday, she's always in an activity. It seems like they have a good mix of activities. It seems like they have enough for my mom who had a stroke. They seem to have field trips for others who are more able. So it seems like they have a good mix of activities. Overall, I would say they keep it reasonably clean.

Value-wise it's about the same as most places. I think the dining is pretty good and so are the activities. Crystal in housekeeping does a great job. I think it's pretty well taken care of now, and overall it looks nice.

Cora, who's in charge of the health and wellness, is very devoted to the residents there and she's been great with talking to me. One main nurse is wonderful, she's just great. Her name is Tonya. She's very good, so I think my mother gets excellent care from her. We took her down to the activities last week for happy hour and she enjoyed going down there for that. The activities director is wonderful, she's just great. The business manager was new after the company purchased them, and she's excellent. "I've always felt that she was safe and comfortable there and overall, I think the Haven is just great.

The value is good. I checked other facilities and some of them were outrageous. The price here is average. It is not too expensive but not cheap either. The dining room is very nice. They clean my father's room once a week. I like the way the facility looks and it does not smell like a nursing home. It is a very nice place. The maintenance staff responds to requests pretty quickly. The med techs are really attentive and easy to talk to.

My mother-in-law feels safe and comfortable there and we are so happy that she is there. I feel it's a very fair price for everything that's included. The service is well worth the money. I think the medical staff has a really difficult job and they do it well. They're respectful and attentive to the residents' needs. The building is beautiful. It is clean and well-maintained. All rooms and facilities are kept clean and they address work orders and requests as best as they can. She loves the music and craft activities, and she loves the therapy pig. I think they try their best to provide consistent activities.

I think the management staff does a good job. I've spoken many times with the main person in charge and she's always been very receptive and called me back, and has always taken the time. My mom does participate, and she enjoys it. She goes on the country rides, out to luncheons, and out for ice cream. And one time she event went to the casino with them. I think everything's in good shape. It's a very clean facility, but the stairwells could use some cleaning. If my mother needs anything done, the maintenance staff does it.
