The Haven at Springwood

My mother seems happier here. She seems more alert and able to do more on her own. I've talked with the director. She helped me when we did the process of doing all the paperwork. It went extremely well. I was in the dining hall once or twice when she was there, and she seemed to like it. I haven't heard any complaints on the food. She participates more now than she had before. They say she's in the bistro a lot and she plays bingo. I saw the list of activities planned for them this month, and I think she'll enjoy most of them. When I was there on Monday her room was all made up and all her clean laundry seemed to be back in her room. I think they're doing an excellent job there. She seems to be really well, getting her medicines and things like that.

We looked at eleven places and we went up in price with The Haven because they were running a special for the first three months, and we just liked the facilities more. Everything I've asked the management, any problems, they've been very helpful. They are easy to get a hold of, and they're very responsive. I've been very tickled pink with everything they've done. That dining facility they've got there is fabulous. That big barn style is very inviting. My mom speaks highly about the openness. It's excellent. My mom says the food is good. My mom is very happy with the activities. Responsiveness is the biggest pro I have for The Haven. Those people in healthcare are always helpful, and they're cheerful. Every time I walk up they're smiling, they're cheerful, they are glad to see me, they say hello, they tell me about my mom. I deal with them the most, and they are the ones that have given me the best impression of The Haven.
