The Haven at Springwood

My grandmother chose this community after visiting friends a few times; it felt genuine. We have dealt with the director and marketing and they were great. The head of housekeeping and maintenance guy have been incredibly helpful as well. Housekeeping makes sure the whole place is clean. It doesn’t have a smell. Her room is great and seems well taken care of. The maintenance staff was helpful with her phone right away. The hung her pictures up for her. They have been great. The activities department has a great variety of things to do at all interest levels. The care staff has been very attentive and are there for us when ask or call with questions.

Every time we come into the community, they say hi and everyone seems to know everyone there. Management is very attentive to everyone's needs and the building is always kept looking like it's brand new. They always have a lot of activities going on. They have movies, music and my grandmother is always doing something and having a good time. My grandmother really likes the activity on Sunday where they paint their nails. The value is great and my grandmother is definitely worth the money. My grandmother is extremely happy there and that's all that matters.

The managers have been very informative. They have explained things along the way. My mom had a hard time initially adjusting and they helped with that process. She had a hard time with the roommate and Brandy was able to change the whole atmosphere. That was a really positive thing to witness. I think overall the staff has been really helpful in helping her adjust. My mom has been receiving good care. I am happy with it. The building always looks well maintained. So far, it's been really good for her.

We chose thins community because the community is kept so well, it's more upscale than a typical Assisted Living community. It's probably less than some communities, and more than others. The rooms are lovely, and the bathrooms are spacious. My mom is safe and comfortable. The staff seems to be very friendly. I think the nurses there and the care staff are very helpful. There is a lot of entertainment and mom gets into that. They have a lot of entertainers come in. They do have a variety of activities. I think the housekeeping is excellent, and the community is beautiful and well-kept. The price is well within the limits of the services mom's getting.

Management is quick to respond to phone calls and concerns. If they do not know something right away they will find it out and get back to me. The activities my mom has participated in have been nice and the calendar of activites looks wonderful. Everything has been perfect with housekeeping. I cannot say enough good things about it. Maintenance had an issue with flooding in the apartment above my mom's. They were right on the spot and came in immediately to clean up and scrub the carpets. The few times my mom has had to use the transportation, they were on time and safe. The caregivers have been great. It has been very good for my mom and the staff could not be any nicer.

Overall the place is very well maintained. The grounds are always well-kept, the building is always clean and bright. I think it's pretty trouble-free. Everyone's been very helpful at the front desk. I haven’t had to interact with executive Management since month one, but I would say everyone is very attentive. Dad seems to like participating in the bus trips. He said there was a nice singing group in that day and he likes Happy Hour on Fridays. I think there's a good variety of activities. Overall dad says they are trying to feed him, he's not lacking any food. I know his laundry is done regularly, with or without his help. The apartment always seems to be clean, trash is emptied. The care staff have been very attentive. They've reached out to me if there were any needs as far as the pharmacy or any of the other supplies dad may need. They've done a nice job keeping me informed. They've done an excellent job with keeping his meds timely. Overall, dad is comfortable and safe.

The management team that I have met while my dad was living here are all very nice and respectful. The care team was accessible and responsive to his needs and the apartments and community are maintained very well.

I do think it's a fair value for the services she's receiving. My mom likes the dining room and the food. The food is hot, and she has someone to talk to. It seems to be decent variety, decent food. They have plenty of activities. She goes to the religious service and the nail salon. Housekeeping does do a good job. It's clean, it doesn’t smell, and they do a good job. They take care of her laundry. The caregivers are courteous, polite, they keep track of her meds, and they contact us if there is any issue, so we're happy with that. Maintenance is very competent and does a good job. We're pretty happy with the place.

My mother-in-law has been there for three and a half years, and my aunt also lived there. My mother-in-law is happy with the food, menu variety, and the dining staff is courteous. She likes the activities very much. Housekeeping is good, they're very gentle. The caregivers are also good, she is safe and comfortable. I would recommend it.

I think the place is really pretty clean. When you walk in, you get the feeling that they really do pay attention to cleanliness in terms of the hallways and the rooms. My father really hasn't had much trouble with his bathroom or anything, so I do think they keep after things pretty well. I think that the Health Director Cora is phenominal. She is knowledgeable, knows about elderly people, takes charge and we speak once a week, so she really is very good. All in all I think the value for the services and accomodations is good.
