The Haven at Springwood

When you walked in the secretary was very sweet. The entrance was inviting. People were happy. You saw people who were at office level while you were there. The workers were always pleasant and seemed to be on task and that told me that the management was in place.

We shopped around a lot before Haven at Springwood when looking for a place for our mother, but my family was happier with Haven than any other place in the county. We have had a good relationship with management and whenever we've had problems, we were able to work things out. I tell people if they're looking, to not miss out on the Haven because whatever problems or situations you may find anywhere else, you won't find them in Haven at Springwood.

We are very happy with this community. The price has worked out fine so far and her apartment is fine. We are quite pleased and mom is fine. Management is efficient and mother enjoys the dining room and the food. The servers are very efficient and friendly. I think the variety of the activities is good for all ages and abilities. Housekeeping does her laundry and that is fine. The cleaning is exccellent and the maintenance is good. The care is fine. When there is a problem, we get a call from the caregivers.

In the short time my dad was there he really liked the new chef that came in and the housekeeping services were very good. Maintenance was very responsive whenever I needed anything, they were very helpful. Most of the caregivers were very good.

My aunt was at another place in the area but it was too large. We were suggested to move her to a smaller community where it would be less confusing for her so we chose this community. My family all thinks that it is a very nice place. It is family oriented and only has about 100 residents. My aunt has a nice corner unit and we were able to bring some of her furniture in to make it feel homey. Everything she needs is on one floor which makes it easy for her. Everybody at this community has been friendly since the beginning. Brandy, in management, went above and beyond and took us on a tour. She introduced us to the different people who would be coming in and out of mom's room. When we ate there, the food was good. We enjoy the smaller tables because it will be easier for her to make friends. Housekeeping comes in and does her laundry and cleans her room every Thursday. Maintenance has been helpful. We changed her TV and needed to get her a universal remote. They called me to let me know it was in and up and running. When she first moved in she was grumpy with me. As a result, I called Brandy and the nursing staff to see how she was treating the staff there. She hasn't caused any problems and she hasn't complained to me about the staff. She is doing very well at this community.

The management staff have good communication, they are nice and friendly. My parents really like the food they serve in the dining department. The activities are good. The housekeeping is very good. They are on time and they keep the place clean. The community is very clean and well maintained. The care staff communicates with the family well.

It's the only place my mom talked about going, she knew some people from our church who are residents there and it was close to her house. Everything just worked out perfect, Brandi just made it so easy for us. She's playing bingo which is shocking to me that she's doing stuff like that, it looks really good from what I've seen on the daily itinerary. She goes to the church services and I know she listened to a piano concert recently and really enjoyed it. The building seems very well maintained to me and my mom loves the healthcare staff. She talks very highly of all the nursing aides that come in, I know she feels very safe.

Management was just awesome. When I needed to put my mom in there, Brandy and Sheila were very helpful, they answered tons of questions. If I needed something I would just call up, leave a message and they'd get back to me the same day. Everyone in healthcare that I dealt with was very knowledgeable, very helpful if I asked for something or had a question, they were able to help me right away. They had a lot of activities going on and would always include my mother. They were very good and helpful with the activities and made sure they included the residents that could join in. The cost seemed reasonable to me considering everything she needed. There was someone there cooking, cleaning and doing her laundry

My sister did the research on it and then we moved my mother in. Management was very helpful with information going in. My mother seems to really be enjoying the food and the healthcare staff is very helpful, communicative, and easy to deal with.

My mother and I toured the facility and it was aesthetically beautiful, that was the first draw. The second draw was that everybody was very friendly, answered questions straightforward and honest; they were just very helpful to us. Management has been very respectful and very accessible, we had an issue and it was dealt with immediately. My mother seems to like the food and the dining room is beautiful. There are a lot of activities and there's a very nice variety, they're reaching a diverse group of people. The transportation service driver was very friendly and exceptionally helpful. The room has always been very clean and the clothes have been washed and the bed has been changed, the housekeeping staff is wonderful, they're very friendly.
