Crescendo Senior Living

We chose this location for my parents because of its location; it is three minutes from my house. The facility is very nice and they offer a lot of amenities. The management has helped us with anything we needed to get in the facility and getting them set up. I have been able to email, text, use anyway to get in touch with them if I needed to. They have been participating in bingo and exercise classes with activities. They go and watch movies and it is nice they have popcorn for them at the movies. They just recently went shopping and banking on an outing. The housekeeping has been very good. They have gotten their laundry back to them on time and the apartment looks spotless. They have been coming to clean when they are supposed to. The care staff has been very attentive to their needs in getting them bathed and dressed.

When I toured this community, it seemed to be clean and bright. The staff was friendly and it was affordable in comparison to other places that I had seen and liked. My mom is safe and comfortable and management is present. I see management out there whenever I am there. They seem to know the names of the residents and they know my name. They always greet me. Any issues I have had, they have tried to resolve for me. The food is pretty good. It looks healthy and the food is hot. It looks like appropriate portion sizes and they have fresh vegetables so that is good to see. The activities are good and appropriate for her. They do stuff that would work for everybody there. Housekeeping is doing her laundry and that is okay. The caregivers are kind to her and treat her well. I can tell they work very hard.

My mom is at Crescendo Senior Living of Placentia for 3 years and from dining to healthcare, the staff is all the absolutely best. They really care about the people, try to help the best they can. I have seen, with my own eyes, the Executive Director go out to blow up balloons and move chairs around, so whatever needs to be done, she does it. My mom used to be in Assisted Living and now she is in the Dementia area, but in both places she was satisfied with the food. She is 95 years old and has a good appetite, so she pretty much eats whatever is in front of her, but the ladies and couple of gentlemen that work there couldn't be better. Ever since this new Executive Director came about a year ago, they really have tried to pick up the activities by bringing people in to sing to the residents, so they have been really good too. Her housekeeping is fine, laundry does well and there have been a couple of situations where she needed things repaired, but the maintenance department has always tried to fix things within a couple of days. They have also re-landscaped the community and they constantly keep up with it, so it looks great in and out. Overall, it's a great place and the people who manage it really understand what families need and keep in touch, to get texts every once in a while is great because it feels like you're constantly updated.

The community was close by and very clean, it looked nice and the price was good too. Management is always available and they're helpful, they're there. The food is outstanding, it's really good there. There's always something for him to do and I think he does all the activities there. The housekeeping and healthcare services are very good and the building is beautiful.

My daughter works for a home care agency and was very impressed with it. She thought my mother would thrive there, so we checked it out and it met all of our needs, and the price was right. The care is very impressive. I am very impressed with the number of staff to the patients, there is always somebody there. The people who need more assistance have it. There is enough staff for the ones who want something to be responded to. From what I have seen, the food is very good. We have not yet eaten there with her and experienced a meal, but they have ample food that looks appetizing. She complains about being tired there are so many activities. She is doing very well. She is now a more active person and I think her extra weight is coming off, which is good. Apartment cleaning is very good, and her clothes are washed and hung up and she's always clean and well-dressed when we go to see her. With the management team, we've had constant communication, quick response, meeting her needs, following through on requests in a very timely manner, and getting to know her quickly. They have been very impressive. The community is wonderful.

We chose Crescendo based on other feedback we got from people who were there, the cost, and the quality of the location, I feel it's an excellent value. Management was just very attentive and had good follow through. The housekeeping is excellent, it's very clean and well done. We're very satisfied, they engage him, help him with any issues that he has, and make sure he gets down to meals.

My mother is so happy at this community. Karla, in management, is wonderful. She is very responsive and is always there. She is lovely. My mother loves the food and enjoys all the activities. She is out doing things all day and I know she enjoys the people that come in and speak. When I have called the caregivers, they have been really responsive. I know they will call me if there is an issue. Last Christmas we had some people come and Karla set up an area for us upstairs. My mom was really happy with that. I really appreciate everything that everyone does. I really appreciate Karla, but everyone is wonderful. I don't have any complaints.

I know that when I have eaten at the facility the food is always very good. It has flavor. Nothing is ever perfect but I think that the healthcare staff does do a good job. The med tech that I have interacted with him a couple of times and he is very nice and is very professional.

Management is fine and is doing well. I find the food to be really good. The servers are real friendly and they do a good job. The gal who cleans my apartment and does my laundry is nice and does a really good job. The maintenance is good. I have had real good service. They do a really good job maintaining the building. We have really friendly caregivers here and they are doing fine. I had one gal at our table for a short time and she had been at a couple places and commented on how this one was the best. I am really pleased with this community

I love the management team. I get along with them fine if I have a problem I just walk in there and tell time. They know who I am and are very respectful. I like the Directors and how they conduct themselves. My sister-in-law is always doing something, playing cards or bingo, or on an outing. She uses the van to go shopping. If it is available to take a trip she will take it. They just recently made a couple changes and one of the things they did improve is the dining room is open now from morning to evening. They also have a family meeting where you can come and learn about the staff and what they do. She tells me the best thing we could have done is put her there.
