The Breakers at Edgewater Beach

It is very delightful there. This was something my daughters chose for me, and I think they did a good job. The dining room is very nice, and the food is very good. I've really not had much of a chance yet to get involved in too much of those activities, but everything sounds quite interesting and enjoyable so I look forward to the activities. Housekeeping has been excellent. The gal is very accommodating and very pleasant to be with. Maintenance put in my microwave and brought a chair in for me that my daughter had given me. Everything went very smoothly. As far as I'm concerned, I think the staff has done a very nice job. I have no complaints. So far, so good!

I think I got a very good value for my money. I couldn't complain. I had the most beautiful view and I looked over the beach almost to downtown. I thought it was beautiful. The staff is phenomenal. They go above and beyond what you would expect. I was very impressed. Dining was excellent. The food was wonderful. I've been to a five star resort in Florida and it can't compare to The Breakers. It was great. There was such a wide variety and it was wonderful for me. They had a bus with a lift on it for my wheelchair. They went above and beyond to accommodate me.

I think it's great. I expected a lower floor so I could see more greenery so I love it. Everything I've had to do with management so far has been excellent. I think housekeeping has been great, it's fantastic. I think dining is excellent as well.

I'm pretty satisfied with price, given the fact he gets two meals, laundry is there, he gets transportation, and he gets entertained. Management has followed up with my dad with any issues he's had. The movies have been good. He's been doing activities every day. He joined a book club and is staying active. The bus is really helpful. He likes it, he knows the driver. Everybody knows him too. He takes it to Walgreens and Jewel all the time.

Everything has been beyond our expectations. The food is great. I read the newsletters and they have a really good selection of activities offered. Everything was perfect upon move-in. My mother had help getting the buildings cable system hooked up to her TV and maintenance did that without issue. I am extremely likely to recommend it and I have actually already recommended it to someone.

We're very, very happy. Two of our friends have moved over to The Breakers and we're working on a third. Maintenance is very responsive. They respond as fast as humanly possible after you put in an order. They just did a major renovation, now that's complete. I think the maintenance is very good. The management staff is excellent; they’re extremely responsive and go out of their way to make sure to get your input. The dining staff does extremely well and the people work very hard. I think the range of offerings is amazing actually. We're very happy with a one bedroom.

The staff is just really terrific and the management is highly responsive to anything I have ever asked for. I am very happy with them. They are proactive with the programs and with the things that they provide. Adam and Cleo do a phenomenal job in regards to the menu and the preparation of the food which is delicious. The servers are absolutely fantastic. The activities are extremely diverse and appealing across the board. The young lady, Helen, who does my housekeeping, is terrific. When Helen comes in, she will strip the bed and wash the linens even though I do not ask for that. She does a very nice job. I am very happy with her. I am very happy I am here. It has been really terrific.

I moved in because it was recommended and close to my daughter. Scott and Kristen are very good. The dining is very good and I have not found anything I did not like. The service is excellent. The activities are good and they have a lot to offer. Blanca is excellent. She is wonderful and does extra work for me like hanging up clothes for me. She is very helpful. The facility is beautiful. My apartment is filled with all new things. It is gorgeous. I could not ask for a nicer apartment.

Everything is included, there really wasn't an additional cost for things, so for the amount of activities they had, rent and three meals a day, I think it was a fair price. You were always greeted with a smile at the front desk. Brittany and Abel were fabulous and were always polite and courteous and very helpful. Everything they did there was outstanding. They did movies, lectures, music, speakers, swimming, they have a greenhouse, and it captures any aspect of anybody's interest. The manager was able to accommodate me in every respect; she was very courteous, kind, got back to me in a timely fashion and helped me work through situations that arose.

Budget-wise I'm probably spending the same as I did when I lived alone, but I have much more care opportunities here. The value is extremely high. I'm impressed with how management manages the organization. They are very helpful. I like that they let people be who they are rather than push them into what they want. Everyone treats you as you'd like to be, and that's what I like. Any time I've called the front desk they're very responsive and quick to respond. I'm pleased with the quality and quantity of the food. We have a beautiful dining room; it's one of the nicest I've seen in a facility of this size and age. The location is wonderful. We're right by a rapid bus line which is an express. You can be downtown to the main shopping area in 20 minutes. We're very close to the lake which is wonderful.
