The Woodmark at Uptown

I think the food is well balanced, nutritious and nicely presented. They definitely have activities available, her room and clothes have been very clean and everything seems to be functioning in there. The caregivers are taking care of whatever her needs are and if I have to talk to them about anything, they are available and responsive.

The price seems fair for the services we are receiving. Management takes all the concerns we have brought to them very seriously and they respond. The servers are very timely and attentive to the resdients who require attention. When I go to visit my mom, she always has clean clothes and things have been cleaned up in relation to the last time housekeeping was there. They have great maintenance and they are very responsive. The caregivers really care about the residents above all else and they do an amazing job.

She likes her little studio, it is very comfortable. I think they do a really good job with the housekeeping and laundry and the grounds and building seems to be kept up quite nicely. They are very good about caring for her and I have nothing to complain about.

All of the staff, the people who run the front desk are a good face forward for The Woodmark. The Executive Director is so efficient and accommodating and the Memory Care Director is awesome. She is right there in the trenches and awesome with residents, she is just great. The chef here, he loves the people and says he is there for them and he treats everyone as though they were family. The transportation has been excellent. They are on time, both times we used it they were right on time with the pickup. There are a lot of top-notch employees.

I think the dining room is very nice. The food seems to be pretty good. Mom has done a few of the exercise classes and those seem to work out well. The building looks well taken care of. It is spring here and they have nice flowers out front.

My dad seems to like the people that put him to bed and give him showers and stuff. Dad uses the van to go to Dallas three times a week and that has really been a godsend to us. The transportation service works out well.

It seems like things are happening, things are getting done, maintenance is happening and people are getting hired, it feels like there is more activity occurring to improve the Woodmark. Housekeeping seems to be good, I think they have consistently cleaned my mom's room, it's always looks good and they do her laundry the way she asks them to, and the healthcare staff is always extremely available to her.

My dad feels safe and comfortable living at The Woodmark at Uptown. I love the front desk people because they're wonderful. They're the face of Woodmark, they keep you informed and get things done for you, so they're tremendous. The Director is new, but she tries very hard and she is very personable. The Chef has wonderful plans and ideas, with a varied menu offering available. We have been to a few of their concerts and the other activities I have seen have been good. The staff tries to keep things up and the community looks very nice. It's pleasing when you walk in and it reminds me of a cruise ship, so it's nice and they try the best that they can.
