The Wentworth at the Meadows

I think the value is fair for what she gets, and for our peace of mind. Management has been excellent. Housekeeping is excellent. The facility always smells clean and fresh, everything is kept up. The healthcare staff and services seem to be great as well. I think the level of activities and the way they try to work with her are great. All in all, she likes it there.

The reason I chose the Meadows was because I've lived here a long time and I do the singing group at the Meadows so I was familiar with it and had friends that stayed there, so I knew it was a good place. The driver is wonderful; he is really thoughtful and helpful. The person who does maintenance has been very pleasant and helpful to my mother, he does an excellent job. He was very accommodating for her. It's well kept up, for a 35 year old building it's phenomenal. The housekeeping crew is very pleasant and I was very impressed with them. Stacy the manager does a great job and every time I spoke to her she was easy to talk to and I just feel like she's just handling things nicely.

Management is responsive. The Meadows is a big family. The food is great; it was one of the reasons why I opted to move in. The recipes they use are really good, the ingredients are fresh. Transportation is good. They take everyone to doctor's appointments and occasionally sightseeing. Every resident wears a button to call for help if needed. The caregivers are top-notch. I've referred several employees and one resident.

They have been good communicators. The management staff has pretty much done everything that they say they were going to do and they have done what we have asked them to do. They have more than met my expectations. The quality and variety are good in terms of food. The room is always nice and clean. The housekeepers come in three times a day and empty my mother's garbage. The driver was great. The nurse has been very wonderful. She was very open minded and courteous with our requests. Stacy, the director, went out of her way to make it a smooth transition for us.

I moved in because it looked like the best place for me. Stacy, in management, is so jolly and open minded. You can ask her any question and she will help you out. The workers are all awesome. The food is very good and they have a different menu every meal. They do a good job cleaning. They hung any pictures that I wanted hung. They put in all new carpeting and hard wood flooring when I moved in. It is a wonderful place and they do everything for you.

I liked the architectural design and that the facility was only a few years old. I liked the way the meal program worked and I asked a couple of local doctors and they all had positive things to say about it. I saw a good number of C.N.A's working with the residents and I liked that. I was treated very well when I was visiting and touring the facility. The quality of the food and the way it is prepared is excellent. There is a lot of variety in what is served. The maintenance staff has been very helpful. They replaced the insides of the air conditioner because it did not work. They got the TV hooked up properly and hung pictures for her. They are doing very well regarding healthcare.

I think it is very expensive but I am grateful to pay it because I know someone will be there. They are good. It is a bright and positive place. I love that the servers know their names and that they are patient and kind with them. My mom couldn't eat dairy, we called the kitchen and told them that and they followed through. They have church, family home evening concerts and movies. I think she could be about as busy as she wants to be. The nursing staff and the aides that are getting my mom ready for the day are very patient and never rushed. They make sure my mother takes all of her pills. When I take my mom home, within a few minutes they have her medication ready. They do an excellent job and I recommend it all the time. My husband is a family practice physician and he recommends it to his patients when they ask.

I chose the Meadows because it has been here for so long in St. George and I had heard really good things about it. They have done really well at getting to know my mom and making her feel a part of that community. That is something she was worried about, but Stacy and the other staff there are making the community feel like a family setting. The staff seems to be doing well. They seem to be tending to her needs. Transportation services have been a life saver.

We had an uncle in the facility years ago and a family friend in, they recommended it. We took a tour and that cemented it for me, I liked what I saw for my husband. The entire staff is so friendly, always smiling, and they put their arms around people who don't get many or any visitors. The director comes through, stops to talk with patients. They've been really helpful, if I have a question they always get back to me. The caregivers are amazing; they do a great job and make sure everyone is happy and healthy. The housekeeper goes through does a great job with everything; she dusts, mops, sweeps, and keeps the bathroom clean. The staff immediately cleans up any spills or things; they do a real good job. The activity director always has something going on. They have a schedule they put out every day which is helpful. She has something to do all the time. We couldn't ask for a cleaner dining area or more patient staff.

We had to move my mom closer for health reasons, but I think they did a great job with her. In fact, today she asked, "Could you take me back to the place I liked so much?" The management staff is wonderful. That is the whole reason I chose to go there: they have been just great with my mom. I thought the owner was a really nice guy. He is just the type of person who makes you feel like everything is in good hands. Every time I have been there, they have been just darling with her. There were some caregivers whom she really loved, so overall, I was very happy. My mom loved and adored Stacy. She was just great with her. Katima was another one she adored. Janet was always going the extra mile. I think she stayed late an hour waiting for a family member to bring her medication. Whitney is new and she was just wonderful. She took on taking care of my mom's cat. She was willing to do that and go above and beyond, and I thought that was sweet.
