The Sheridan at Lakewood Ranch

I would definitely recommend the Sheridan. I like it that much myself and would recommend it to someone else that I knew was in the position of moving and wanting a change. I think they have done a good job of getting outside entertainment. It is something nice to look forward to. On the whole, I have enjoyed the entertainment that they have had. I have also greatly enjoyed the food, they have a good variety. The med techs have been very nice. They have taken me to the doctor’s office and I was there on time. I have been satisfied with the fact that they are willing to get you where you need to go. I have no worries about safety, I feel safe.

When we met with Hope, our initial contact person, she had the facts, was well organized, and was very courteous. We felt like she was on target and we got a very good sense of her and she represented community well. Every time I walk in there the apartment is clean, vacuumed, and her clothes are arranged in the closet appropriately. They're doing an excellent job. I think the caregivers are doing an excellent job, a really excellent job. Overall, it has gone really well.

The people there were very pleasant, it was very clean. From our visit we were made to feel very welcome. We were very appreciative of the respect and dignity they treated my mother with while she was on her last days. From what I saw I thought they were very careful and respectful with her and of her. The caregivers did very well and they seemed well trained. The management staff was always great and answered all of my questions. I have no complaints.

My mother-in-law has settled in beautifully. There's a nice feeling here and it feels right and good. Hope, Courtney, Christine and James are knowledgeable and helpful. They have returned calls and followed up when they said they would. I've enjoyed my conversations with them. I have seen the calendar and know there are several activities offered. She will enjoy the Bingo. Robert came by and offered his help at move-in. He was very good and asked if there was anything he could do. The care staff are very nice. They're absolutely delightful. It's like we had a little party in her room the first day so that was a nice start. Everybody has been polite, helpful and courteous.

Courtney and Christine are so great. They have really blown me away. My husband loves the food. My husband is not able to participate in a lot of activities but they have gotten him engaged in some. Housekeeping has improved and it has been very consistent. The building is good and driver is always good as well. I would recommend it and I have recommended it. Everybody was phenomenal during the hurricane we just had. Everyone got incredible care and they fixed any leaks that came up right away.

I'm so pleased with it, and it's so convenient to me. I'm only three miles away. I'm happy with the price. Nothing is ever perfect and there are always things that can be done better. But for the most part, I'm very happy with the community. My father is one of the original senior care residents. I'm pleased with the amount and variety of activities they have. I'm really pleased. The caregivers do a great job and I am very appreciative of them keeping track of his weight. I know I'm very happy with him there.

I moved my dad there because I liked the newness of the community and it was a fair value. The food is well prepared, well served and he says the flavor is good. The activities are appropriate. Housekeeping is good. They are doing a good job and are consistent. The laundry is okay. Maintenance helped with the move in. I asked for some help setting up her television and one of the guys was right there to help. They are doing a fine job in healthcare too.

I think the price we pay is a fair amount. Speaking to other residents they spoke highly of them then the Windsor which is one of their competitors. The room is gorgeous, I would live there. My mother is very happy with the food and the upkeep is nice and if she needs something someone will go up and help her. The landscaping is really nice looking as well. I would definitely recommend the place. As an overall we are happy. I probably looked at six facilities. Overall, I liked the appearance and it seemed nice looking around.

My parents have been very pleased with how things are and how things are going. Overall they are pretty happy. They love the Friday night happy hours and the music that comes in. The care services have been very responsive. My mom has Parkinson's and so she falls often but they are always right there to help her. They are comfortable and safe there and it feels like home to them.

The staff all did a super job getting us into the facility and providing all the necessary paperwork. We have been very satisfied. They have fed us well, taken care of us, and everything has been done very well. The housekeepers have kept it very well under control and it looks perfectly clean and good. The food has been absolutely excellent and we eat there daily. We are very happy with the facility and the staff and plan on living here for some time.
