Regency Palms Long Beach

One thing mom and I looked at was how the residents looked, did they looked engaged, and they were at this community. I feel like everything is good with the care givers. My mom seems very happy and is connecting with the staff there.

She's very happy, she couldn't be better taken care of. The staff is constantly making sure she's happy, they're on top of everything there.

My mother was the first resident there in October. I just really appreciate when I have had a question about her care and status that people have taken the time to sit down and talk to me. I appreciate the compassion.

My brother found it online and just visiting the place, it is beautiful. It is small and the ratio of staff to residents is nice. My mom isn't in the best of health. They have really taken a big burden off me. I didn't want to have to put her in skilled nursing. The caretakers there both daily and nightly engage with me and tell me what is going on. The food is awesome. I could eat there all the time. The activities are good and they do well at keeping her engaged. I am satisfied with the housekeeping service. The maintenance staff helped us when we moved in with the furniture and everything. The building is beautiful. I'm all good with the place. We couldn't have found a better one.

Management is professional, polite, competent and you feel like you're dealing with human beings, rather than a corporation. Prior to this, she was at The Sunrise, which felt more corporate, so I particularly like that it's not like that here. They seem to be sincerely caring of the residents, but they're also friendly, professional and if you ask them a question, they don't act like they're bothered or rushed. They encourage residents to participate in them and they're well planned. The food is excellent, the Chef is excellent and from what I have seen, the menu variety is adequate.

I can't say enough nice things about it and we're really happy with it, so we're just fortunate we were able to find the community. All the other places we looked at, it felt industrial, but it's like a resort spa here.If I see new people taking a tour, I speak up and say this place is amazing.

I have looked at probably 8 other communities before making the decision on Regency Palms Long Beach and when I looked at the top rated places, they weren't very community based and rather more like a large institution. I also didn't feel the caregivers were as caring as they are here or that the access to the Director would be as easy as here, so I am satisfied with the value my mother-in-law and father-in-law receive at the community. Regarding management, I think they're all very caring and they're very good at what they do, with the Director being very helpful in a lot of cases. I am a Chef by trade, so I think the food is prepared well and I have met with the Chef where they do the cooking. The dining hall is kept clean and the wait service is excellent, so they're doing a great job. In terms of cleanliness, everything seems to be clean and the laundry is taken care of regularly, so housekeeping has been satisfactory. I also satisfied with both, apartment and building maintenance, at the community because the maintenance staff is very helpful. Overall, we're really happy with the community because my father-in law is doing better and my mother-in-law are doing well too. Also, when my friend asked me for my top 3 recommendations, this community was on that list.

The healthcare staff was very careful with me. The hamburgers are some of the best I've ever eaten and the dining service is perfect. The building is set up beautifully, it's a beautiful place. Housekeeping kept my apartment clean, the cleaning was excellent. I made a lot of friends there, I enjoyed the people. The tenants were grateful for me and I was grateful for them. It was a great experience for me and I thank everyone for helping me as much as they did.

We called A Place for Mom and they recommended checking out the community, which we did, and we just liked it, the fact it's brand new and not depressing, we just liked everything about it. Management addresses any concerns I have, they're very on it, they want to make things right. The management and the staff is just the best and they want to make everything perfect so I'm very happy with our choice. The staff is working on all the memory activities; they're doing a lot of activities and my mom's involved in everything. I'm very happy with the structure and the type of activities they do, they're very helpful I think. The caregiving staff and the med techs are the best, I really feel like they're sincere and very caring and giving. Everybody is, even the maintenance guy and the dining staff, everybody is just into taking care of everybody and that's great.

Management has been absolutely fabulous, accommodating, efficient, collaborative and informative. The care staff has done really, really well. Every one of the caregivers, housekeeping, everyone is just absolutely lovely. My dad is on hospice and the staff has done really well in getting him the medical equipment that he needs like this fancy wheelchair, it was really fabulous. So far the dining has been great, the meals that I've seen my mother get seem good and the service was fabulous. The value is awesome.
