Pointe at Kirby Gate

I could call at any time on any day and get ahold of a caregiver. The people who answered the phone were always able to get me the information I needed. The caregivers were all very friendly and helpful. They gave me updates on how my dad was doing. There were some times when they took my dad to the doctor and it was so good. They were always helpful. There were a couple issues with his AC and plumbing. When we made people aware of issues, they were fixed that day or the next day. They dealt with things very quickly. I never minded walking into this community because you didn't get a institutional odor. It always smelled clean to me and their carpets were always being cleaned. There was always someone working and cleaning things. His room was always clean. There were always things going on and they put the schedule of activities up in different places around the building. It looked like people participated in them pretty heavily. I thought the food choices, the look, the smell and the taste were good. The kitchen staff was very friendly. Management was very communicative, relational, friendly and helpful. They were exceptional. They hired the right people for the right jobs. This community was a little bit cheaper than other places and it was better than a number of places.
