The Oaks, A Merrill Gardens Community

We like the community and we think everything is good. My mother is very content and she has a lovely room. The staffing for her needs is good. Work orders are handled almost instantaneously. The housekeeping is very good. They have outings and there is plenty to do activity wise. She says that the food is good and there is enough variety. A lot of the wait staff know what the residents want and it's on the table before they even ask for it. Management is very responsive if I call in with something. Overall, I think it's a good value and she feels very comfortable. There is a lot of competition just within a mile radius. There are these enormous Assisted Living places around The Oaks, but we chose it because it's intimate here with lots of light and bright in the common areas. It's not a MGM style hotel with endless hallways

When this COVID-19 started they were right on top of it. They were so caring and they were so genuine. They had this policy, I don't know how they did it, but everybody knew everybody's name. From the day he was admitted they would call him by his name. He loved that. And they would come in and give him a hug and say such sweet things to him all the time. And it wasn't just the nursing staff it was everybody. But the caregivers were super, just super.

I love the staff there. Cheryl at the front desk is awesome. There are remarkable people there. We pay a lot of attention about the way my mom is cared for and we have been very, very happy at the Oaks. They are wonderful. I really love that place. There is really something special about where the Oaks is located too. Mercy Gilbert hospital is three minutes if that away. My mom participates in every single thing that she possibly can. They play bingo and board games. They go on trips. It is amazing. The cleaning person usually comes on Wednesdays. It smells wonderful and it looks wonderful. I think they do a good job. The maintenance guy I like him a lot. My mother had a leak under her sink in the bathroom and he came right away and addressed it. He does the carpeting cleaning and changes light bulbs. have seen the people that manage the grounds and I have never seen a bug inside or anything dirty or nasty.The common areas are always clean and they look nice. I will see them cleaning and dusting and vacuuming. I think they do a great job.

The dining is very good, they have a lot of outings here which is good and the maintenance is really really good. The care staff is good to him. They give him hugs. I am really pleased with everything.

The care givers have always treated my dad very nice and they try to be very helpful. The response to the call button is usually pretty good. In terms of the value, it is pretty good compared to everyone else.

I think the care and nursing is running really good. The people there are patient, kind, and friendly. I don't have any complaints about the apartment maintenance, and the building and grounds always look nice. The laundry and housekeeping is good. The activities are good, and the things they do are appropriate. The dining is good, and I think there is a enough variety offedred. The management is very, very good overall. I don't have any major complaints. I think the quality of care is quite high, and the cost is reasonable.

I think they've been very accommodating and helpful in this transition. Mom loves the breakfasts and the food is really good. The housekeeping is great. They do a good job. The maintenance has been responsive and helpful. The transportation department is really great, and they try to work with her.

The food and activities are fine, and the housekeepers are very good. Maintenance is also pretty good. The apartment seems to be good. My mom really likes the cleaning lady and the family that works there. The mother and daughter work together and are excellent.

The food looks decent. They take good care of her here. My mother is always clean, and her clothes are always clean. Everything seems to be in good repair all the time.

Management is always available, and they are very good about getting back to people. They are great at activities. They have a nice variety, and they are at convenient times. The people that come to do the entertainment are very talented. His apartment is nice and comfortable. This is one of the nicer places I have been to, and overall, it provides my father a happy, balanced life. He is going on his third year here, so he must like it.
