Morningside House of Satyr Hill

This is our second experience with this community, and it's great. He fell out of bed one night, and the care staff called me to let me know that he had fallen and that he seemed to be fine. They're making sure he's getting his pills everyday. The housekeeping staff does a great job. They're very good about it. He has cleaned his plate at every meal. He's thrilled that he doesn't haev to cook his own meals. They make sure that he gets down to the dining room, and he doesn't miss any meals. I think the food is very good quality. He likes everything. The management team is always available, and they answer your questions. They take time to speak to you. The peace of mind that I have after taking care of him by myself for five years is every penny. I think we're getting exactly the value for what we're paying.

When we have compared price versus quality, I would say it is very fair in the marketplace. It seems like everything is running pretty well there. I know they regularly bathe her and make sure she gets in bed and stuff like that. I like the fact that there is an optional menu, and I think the food is fine.

For what mom gets, the price is fair. Everybody over there is helpful. Mother always says the food has been real good. There's always some activity going on throughout each day. Her laundry is always clean. The healthcare has been particularly exceptional.

My loved one has been there 9 years, so they all know him and know me. The nurse and med techs are excellent and long-term aides are great. He's well taken care of. If you have something wrong, you tell the maintenance man or concierge, and it gets done. Housekeeping is excellent at cleaning his apartment. He enjoys the food very much, and the servers take care of him. The finance person and the concierge are excellent. Considering his room, the food, and the care, I think the value is good.

When you go into the building, it is just lovely. It is beautiful and it is surrounded by trees and the grounds are lovely. The people were very friendly. They were all smiling and were pleasant. It is just perfect. It is the whole package. Beth , the coordinator, was just fantastic. She was bubbling over with happiness and friendliness. They are very responsive and our questions are answered the best they can. The food that I have seen and have sampled has been really good. The schedule of activities is very full and it is varied. It is for all interests. Everybody in the healthcare department is very attentive and they check in on her frequently. They are very pleasant and they smile.

I am just pleased with how well run and clean the community is, the people there are unbelievable. Typically when I have gone to other places, there was a smell, but not here. It's as clean as a whistle and along with the decor, it feels like you're in a really nice hotel. Everybody is very pleasant, especially in the Memory Care and they're very attentive to the residents' needs, so it's just very, very good service. They keep residents engaged in activities, my uncle loves the dining and clothes are always both, folded and put away. All in all, he feels safe and comfortable.

The management has been pretty good and they are very bright and very professional. The housekeeping and the laundry are good as well.

Beth was amazing, very helpful and gave a lot of guidance. She is now the care coordinator that is in charge of the Stepping Stone.and she has been amazing. My aunt seems to be happy with the food and I think there is enough variety. I feel like there are plenty of opportunities for activities. The building is beautiful and it is very well taken care. The line of communication with Shanelle the head of nursing has been amazing. I can't say enough about the staff there. They have been very respectful and very polite.

The management team is wonderful. They always respond to any of my questions. They are very respectful and I like them a lot. The transportation is wonderful. Vladimir is the driver and he is extremely nice. He absolutely loves the caregivers, Darlene and Sasha, they help him all the time. He loves the art class, just loves it.

We chose the community because of location, but so far, the accommodations are satisfactory and my mother feels comfortable. The healthcare staff keeps my mother very clean, which impresses me, and they're extremely nice. The vehicle for transportation is good and the cool thing is that they allow you to go with your loved one. Overall, the price is fair for what is received.
