Meridian at Ocean Villa

For the services, I think it is a fair price. The food here is good and it is fresh. The portions are just right. It is very consistent in the quality and very healthy for the residents. There is a variety of activities to do and the staff is very kind and helpful to the residents participating. I like the fact that laundry services clearly use detergent that is fragrance free, and it seems to be anti allergenic. I think the maintenance team does a great job maintaining the facility. The care staff are very attentive and conscientious, especially with the medicines.

One of the things that I like is that maintenance tries to help my mom when needed. I think it's a very nice building and the housekeeping is always fine. I haven't had too much interaction with the management staff, but the sales department does a fine job. The price is to be expected for the services she receives.

I would definitely recommend the community to others. A friend has come with me a couple of times to visit; she can't get over the place. As far as quality of food and everything it is outstanding for the most part. It is much better than I expected from an institution type of place. The maintenance staff is good. They are right on top of everything.

When I see my cousin, she looks wonderful and she seems happy. Overall I think she's in a great place. I've had great experiences with maintenance. Her room and bathroom are always nice and clean. The activities seems fun, it seems like she enjoys it. I participated in a few things with her over the years and it's been fun so it seems like they're doing a nice job with the activities. I've only eaten there a couple of times with them but she loves it. I've been to a couple of parties and everything was beautifully prepared. My cousin is very happy with the people in the kitchen. She's been there since 2004 and I'd say she's happy.

I'd recommend it with no hesitation. We drop by almost every day, we drop by unannounced too. We have never walked in there where there is a situation of anything other than good care and good activities going on, so it seems to me that my parents are getting well cared for. The staff there is very nice about calling us and communication in general. When there is trouble getting in touch with our parents, or vice versa, the management team always is helpful and facilitates connecting us.

Everyone seems to be nice to my mother. They all call her by her name, and that makes them feel like they are friends of hers, as opposed to people who are just working there. Anytime there has been something that has needed to be done, the next time I come, it is always done by maintenance. She always seems to be clean and everything looks good. My mother sits out on the balcony in the sun every day. When there are things like Mother's Day or Christmas or someone's birthday, there are these little celebrations. They have musicians there and my mother loves that. I'm so happy she is there.
