Lake Barrington Woods

It's friendly, people are nice, and I like the way they handle things. The wait staff is great, very nice people. There are certainly a lot of activities. Maintenance here is really good. When you have a problem they come right up and fix whatever you need. It's nice to have some kind of transportation. The driver is very careful, and he gets us there on time and back. It works out pretty well. It's fine. There's always going to be things that are not perfect wherever you live.

Everybody has been very accommodating and helpful. They were very responsive. Mike was extremely helpful and made the process so much easier. They helped us through that transition tremendously. Everything seems good. The activities are great and the dining staff really makes them feel like they're at home, they're wonderful. The people are nice and everybody is engaged.

As we checked that facility compared to other ones we really noticed the friendly atmosphere and overall general appeal that it had over other facilities. I think it is a good value and that it is competitively priced. The management team was super. They took the time to answer all questions in detail. They went out of their way to spend time and be patient and answer those questions. Across the board they've been great. They serve a good variety and really good simple meals that taste real good and are very appealing, and the service is excellent. The move in condition was great, and everything has been fine. There were a couple hiccups, but maintenance fixed those immediately. The caregivers are super sweet and kind - very professional. I've been very, very happy so far.

It's a good value. I'm pleased with my grandmother's room. We're really happy with the management staff. I've eaten there and I thought the food was very good, especially the brunch. The staff is very accommodating. There are no maintenance issues. Everything works fine. We are satisfied.

It's been a marvelous facility, the staff is just excellent. They have been responsive, respectful, explained things in emergency situations and when we didn't have anyone they found somebody. They have been outstanding; I would recommend them to anybody inside or outside of Lake Barrington Woods. The maintenance staff responds right away, my mother's dishwasher broke and the next day she had a new one. Tom, who runs maintenance there, knows everyone and is very pleasant and proactive. They have something for everybody; there is always something to do. We love it for her.

The administrative staff is superior. The food is excellent and the dining staff is very accommodating. I appreciate the kitchen keeping an eye on the people who need gluten free foods. The calendar is very helpful. Housekeeping is very good, laundry is excellent and maintenance is very helpful. The building is very well kept and the driver is excellent. All in all, the services are just fine. The staff and programs are wonderful.

There have been a lot of new facilities within a ten mile radius in the past few years, we checked out a few of them and Lake Barrington Woods is good in that regard. The caregivers do a very professional and good job. Maintenance is great. I can't say enough good things about the maintenance. They do a beautiful job with the landscaping they have. Mom and dad really liked the Management is very good. There always seems to be someone in charge available so that's a really good thing. We would recommend this place without hesitation.

As far as how the place is, it's worth what my father's paying right now. The caregivers are always there in the morning and have a great attitude and they watch him so that's very good. Everyone is very top notch, professional and caring. It's very good, the food is good, there's a decent variety and if anyone wants more, they can get more. They make sure he has enough food which is very comforting. He doesn't take advantage of the activities but there is something going on every day that he could. I have been very satisfied with management as well.

Management was on top of working with us and showing us things. They gave tours and provided lunch and they give me answers when I need them. I've eaten there a couple times and it's good! Food is a big deal to my dad. That is one reason we chose this place because we knew the food was better. I think the dining staff is doing a good job, he said some of the servers really remembered their names and were very friendly, so he was thrilled with the service. I know he loves the brunch on Sundays. I see all of the activities all the time. They draw a good crowd. I like that there are multiple rooms and areas for different things, and it's not all in one main hall. My dad has already joined a couple of groups. I'm trying to get my mom to do a little more, but it's been a tough transition for her. The event coordinators have been great. They are trying to draw her out without being pushy. I think they have a really nice variety. The maintenance man was super friendly, and they really liked him. He offered to put some things on the walls for them and take out boxes and they were thrilled with the service. Overall, it's a good place for what is out there.

I have been very happy. The staff and service is excellent in the dining room. The activities are excellent. There is something going on and it is always a good variety. Housekeeping is excellent. Maintenance has been extremely helpful and they have been above and beyond. They are on top of everything. I am happy with everything they have been doing.
