Hickory Park

It was chosen by a broker, somebody who helps find a place. My brother-in-law was in another facility that wasn't working out well. It's a very nice place. It has a great aura, it smells great. He enjoys the food. They definitely have catered more towards his diabetic needs. Management is very easy to contact. They have been more than good. They have great activities. The care staff is excellent, everybody. They seem friendly and well-trained.

We feel comfortable with the security there and like how people cannot just walk in at any time. Noelle cares and goes beyond the call of duty. She is the reason why we went there and why we stay there. Bobby, in dining, does a good job. The service is timely. The dining room is clean. There are multiple menus and many options for food. Michelle, the housekeeper, is very good and takes her time. She dusts everything. She does a great job.

We chose Hickory Park because of its quality. It's potentially a place I would want to stay. I think my father's care has been phenomenal. The facility is very clean and homey. Everybody is very nice and chipper; the staff and the residents. The management staff really helped us get my dad where he should be. They've been perfect. They answer all of my questions. His drink is ready when he gets to the dining room and they take his order right away. I've read the activities every day that he's been there and there's always something going on. Noelle and Yolando do a fantastic job in the care department. It was really a perfect move in.

I guess it's a reasonable value. The management staff is accessible and responsive, and enthusiastic about the facility. My mother-in-law certainly seems to like the food; my she's put on weight. I think the activities are probably fine. She only consistently participates in the live music on Friday's, but that's just her choice. Based on the calendar, they have a nice variety. The housekeeping and laundry are consistent with cleanings and the health care staff has been solid.

I have been very happy with the way things are going. Whenever I need something the management staff is right there to answer my questions, address my concerns, they help me whenever I need it. I'm very happy with my father-in-law getting involved so much, he's been doing exercises, which is great, and he’s using his walker less. The housekeepers always take his trash away, the apartment is as clean as it can be with him living there, and he’s a messy guy. The caregivers give him his medication every day and when asked check on him in the shower in case he falls. The nurses are great, if we ask them to give him his insulin early so we can take him out for a doctor's visit or holiday meal, they will do it. We're very happy with that. The people at the front desk are always nice. The staff keeps a good eye on him and lets me know what's going on. I think it's a very good facility for him.

I haven't experienced anything but positives. Everyone was totally helpful. Yolanda made everything very easy for us. I feel like my brother is well taken care of. The care staff has been checking on him twice a day. They are all very friendly and helpful and open. I would say the staff is excellent. They are very responsive as well. The property is really well taken care of. I am really impressed with the property as a whole. Ryan was incredibly helpful when we moved in. Any time we had a problem he was right there. So far, we've been very happy and I would definitely recommend it.
