Harbour Senior Living of South Hills

The managment team here is always open and available to discuss any concern or issue that I may have pertaining to my dad. The verandah porch that they have that allows the residents to go outside but still be observed I think is a really nice thing. Rebecca in activities is always interacting with the residents everytime I go visit. The care staff really come across as very caring and I am amazed at the patience they have when conversing with the residents.

I like my mother's room very much, I am very pleased with it. There are so many activities to partake in here, the calendar is very full of opportunities. The dining room staff is very helpful with the residents and their eating needs. The maintenance crew has been extremely helpful. She has disconnected a TV and taken apart a lamp and they have always been willing to come and get her back together again. I think they do a nice job.

The management staff has been very responsive to any inquiries or concerns that are brought to them. I have found all the receptionists to be very positive and welcoming. I've seen that the variety and the quality of food is good. From what I observe when I walk into the building, they have some very good things going on for the residents. They distribute a calendar and I receive it every month. I like the fact that my mom's in a facility that offers these particular activities. One of the residents is a priest and he is able to help with the Sunday Mass. If I ever have a question with billing, the person who runs billing, Carla, is very responsive to my requests. Joe in the nursing department is outstanding. Overall, we are satisfied with the services.

The Director and Marketing Director, Kelly and Alexis, they're fabulous to work with. They care, they will definitely address issues, there is no question about it. If you have an issue, they will take it into sincere consideration and work on it. I think they run the place very well. They're absolutely always responsive and available. She's extremely safe and extremely comfortable. Overall, it's a great place and there is always something for her to do.

From a value standpoint, they were less expensive than most, and the resources were great. For the money it was great. The management was extremely attentive and very well versed in the field. We had no unanswered questions, and they were supportive in every way. My brother always had clean clothes so the laundry was good. All of the caregivers were extremely observant, responsive, knew him even when he moved floors. They always addressed him by name, no matter what floor he was on. The ladies at the front desk were fabulous and helped me understand what was going on if I didn’t have time to talk to the nurse.

For the most part I think management is doing a good job. The housekeeping and maintenance was good. The nurse that we had there was excellent. I am satisfied with the price for the service and accommodations provided.

Generally, the management staff is very professional and personal. They seemed to really care about what they were doing. The caregivers are very attentive and are very personable as well. Housekeeping is very good. The variety of activities is good and they are very accessible to the residents. It was a very good experience, and we'd use them again.

I visited other places before we chose Harbour and we'll be there as long as we can afford it. The community is the right size for my mother, not too big or small. She lived in this area and is familiar with some of the workers outside the community. Carl, who handles the financial end, is great. They do a good job in the dining area. The food and service are fine. She does some of the activities and she really enjoys that. They do a good job when they clean her room. They always take care of her laundry and make sure it's clean and replaced. They did a bunch of improvements with painting and the grounds always look nice. I think it has been a good fit for my mom.

It's a fabulous community and feels like home, we love the place. The people are so warm and friendly that I can't say enough about them. Management definitely cares about the residents there and make sure that everything is clean. It's a very happy environment. The food is delicious. There's a schedule posted everyday with activities and they really engage her to participate. They do my mom's laundry and they keep her room quite lovely. The healthcare people genuinely care about my mother. The way they hold her hand and talk to her even though she can't talk back is just great.
