Cameron Hall of Ellijay

We chose Cameron Hall of Ellijay for my father because not only is it convenient, we have heard great recommendations from people who have been there. I am satisfied with the services and accommodations he received at the community; I know he is safe and comfortable there. The communication with management has been great since I am out of town, and they have been reassuring to my dad with helping him settle in. The dining choices are great; my dad loves the breakfast and raves about it. The laundry is weekly, apartment cleaning is satisfactory and the activities are consistently offered, well planned and entertaining. The maintenance is wonderful; they helped me with his new bed, stored his old bed and fixed his TV too. Regarding his care, the healthcare staff is helping him with settling in and they reassure him, telling him that there is nothing to worry about. Overall, it's going great and everyone there is wonderful.

My parents moved into this community because it seemed to meet all our needs. We liked the independent living feel of it but there are folks to help out if needed. The price at this community is fair for what is being offered. Management is excellent and has been really great. The food is very good and there is a good variety on the menus. There is always something going on at this community. The building is beautiful and the care my parents are receiving is excellent. I have really appreciated them. They have been really accessible and take time for me. They take great care of my parents and I appreciate them very much.

I selected this place for my mom because her old place was closing and the people seemed much nicer and professional. The management worked with me and it was a very stressful situation trying to get my mom into a place, they really worked with me. The food is very good; I ate there a couple of times with mom before I left. The healthcare staff called me during the week to let me know how she's adjusting, they called to let me know everything was fine; they just wanted to touch base with me.

We were looking for a place like Cameron Hall that was going to accept his pet, he has a small dog, and would also still allow him a good bit of independence. He does a lot of things on his own but just having an environment that was safer. The staff there is great, Jennifer and Jesse are both wonderful, the facility is very nice and convenient for family members to get to visit my dad. Jennifer the Director has done a great job helping to acclimate him. I think the management does a lot of things really well, they've been really responsive to questions that have come up, and they’ve been great. He's pretty happy with the food and I think there are enough activities being offered, he stays pretty busy. The healthcare staff is very responsive; if I call and ask about something they go down and check on him right away. Not only is the building set in a very pretty place on top of a hill with trees and scenery, you feel like you're out in the country somewhere but you're just a couple of minutes from downtown Ellijay. They do a great job of maintaining the building and outside, the grounds are very pretty. We think we're getting something of value, we want him to be safe and happy and so far both of those things are happening at Cameron Hall, the staff has been very welcoming to him.

My sister loved it. Jennifer was very good about working with me and talking to me, she was just exceptional. They went far above and beyond what most places would and I was appreciative of it, it was a wonderful experience. My sister was there for six years and was very happy there and that's unusual. They had a multitude of activities, I went and toured another facility that had virtually nothing but Cameron Hall is wonderful, the Activities Director Judy is absolutely wonderful. We had the best housekeeper, she was fabulous, and she did such a good job. The maintenance man, Neal, was wonderful, he took care of everything we asked very quickly, and he was exceptionally good. It always looked good and clean, some places like that have an odor. It was always clean and smelled good, even the dining room and beauty shop, everything was always well maintained. The caregivers were wonderful, they always kept me informed, they were very good.

My mom needed to go to skilled care, so she only stayed there for six months, but she was always safe and comfortable there. I think mom had the best care there, she did excellent. I was very satisfied with the management and directors. They were fine, very good. The activities and dining were fine, and so was maintenance. I think housekeeping was also all fine; they did a good job cleaning mom's apartment and doing her laundry. I think the value was fair, the price was very good. The price was comparable and very good. I wish my mom was still there.

I am new here and the activities are an enjoyable way for me to get to know others. We have so many wonderful things to get involved in. The food is wonderful. I have a hard time turning it down. In fact, I asked the other day if there was a class on dieting because the food is so good. I feel very comfortable with the management staff being accessible. I am pleased with my two rooms I have here. I am just getting my things unpacked. I'd say they are fulfilling the value.

I chose Cameron Hall of Elijay for my brother because this is where his hometown is and I wanted to get him close to home. I'm 70 years old and when I need a place this is where I'll go. I couldn't say enough good things about the management team. They've all been so very helpful, nice and my brother just loves it there. The activities are excellent, the housekeeping and laundry services are wonderful and the care staff is very good. I don't think there is a better assisted living place around.

I moved my mom into Cameron Hill for the price and location. Management is helpful, respectful and always postive and upbeat. I was just there yesterday for the Luau and it was very nice. The housekeeping is fine and the laundry lady is really good. Just yesterday when I was there, I saw a lady sanitizing door knobs, elevator buttons and furniture, so that was nice. The maintenance is very good and as a matter of fact, she had a problem with her faucet and the maintenance man he already fixed that. The healthare staff are all really good and helpful. I haven't had any complaints so far.

I moved my mother-in-law into Cameron Hall because it was rated five stars and when we toured the community we fell in love with it and thought it was perfect. The management staff have made the move as seamless and easy as possible. They have been very supportive and very helpfu and have been absolutely wonderful. At the community they do have a wide range of activities. They are very good at getting people to come down and paricipate and mom is starting to like it. The caretakers do an excellent job with her. They always make sure she is dressed and ready for the day. I have no complaints.
